Is game undergoing construction right NOW?
I tried to log on and was successful the first time. Then while I was in a mission talking to my friend Darthol, it froze. I mean, the game would let me move around but I couldn't hit anything, everything I typed would not show on dialogue, and I was left with the only option of quitting. Not only did I lose my much needed 10 energy, but I have not been able to log on ever since.
It says: "Either there is a temporary network outage or the server is not fully operational. Please wait a moment before reconnecting."
It's been over an hour. Anybody aware of this?

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I'm online even as I make this post.

I just logged back in. I had to restart my client, but now it works fine.
Try closing your client and opening it again. That worked for me.
Same here. I managed to log in fine a while ago - maybe an hour or two. Now I'm also getting the network outage message. Restarting the client didn't help.
I bet that's Vanaduke who's blocking us - he's afraid of getting clobbered! ;)
Edit: Aaaand now I managed to log on. I guess Vanaduke heard me. :p (On a more serious note: restarted several times, checked Java, firewall, whatnot.. it just happened to work again now. I didn't change anything relevant.)

One (out of two) of the game servers crashed. I restarted it, and we'll look into the issue to try to prevent it from happening again.
I had to wait another hour and a half until mine started.
P.S. I had tried everything from shutting down and restarting my computer, checking Java, checking firewall, and restarting the game several times. Nothing worked but patience.

Not quite. The game transfers players between servers fairly often (on zone changes, basically; some town/party instances will be on the first server, some on the second). So, you might be able to connect to the working server only to find that it will try to send you to the broken one as soon as you enter a gate. Obviously we don't intend for the servers to break like that: we will need to add a better way of determining when the server has crashed.
We were fighting Vanaduke at the time and couldn't figure out why he wasn't responding to us at first. :(
