When/if pets are put into spiral knights they should be similar to weapons and armour. they could be evolved at a machine at the right end of the arcade with an item similar to a recipe, all pets could have a coloured ring around them like in lock down except of the owner's colour and have a slight glow of that colour as well they could have accesories attached as well like a flower or aura, pets could be like equipment example: wolver 2* -> dusker 3* -> ashtail 4* -> vog cub or skolver or snarbolax (small) 5*. they could have health, UV's, bonusus (like attack damage increase or heal), and different pets could have different AI's like passive (for example a slik wing pet), or aggressive (for example wolver pet).The way healing pets could work is having a minimum monster amount set for the pet making it something like having a minimum of 3 monsters near by or a boss to heal and 5* could heal at the rate of a guardian shield in LD. aggresive monsters could have health and be like a mecha knight except they stay close to the owner and will attack the closest enemy to it or what the owner is attacking (if the owner is using a sword). if the pet gets killed they can be revived by health like a team mate except 1 bar of players health equals 3 bars of pet's health. pet's health could be displayed in a small bar ontop of players health.in places like haven pets follow the owner directly and have no glow or ring around them

oh

i forgot to mention pets could level up aswell upgrading stats every level just like equipment.

I like some of this stuff,

I like some of this stuff, but please man dont suggest another healing thing. No matter how many times people suggest about healing weapons or pets, its not going to happen.

there is no problem with it

well the way i said it made it no way to be exploited or make it over powered

but if they wont heal then theey could add bonuses to the party like attack damage increse low. 3* adi low only owner 4* adi low party 5* adi med party or something like that then

So you are saying just pets that take no slot in equipment and help in combat? How can you call that not overpowering? all it is is a straight up buff when, seriously, we do not need more buffs or things to make the rich more powerful than the poor. That is just making this game easier with no weapon slot taken up / "summoner" gear required to make them useful etc. etc.

Pets are something that will not be in the game for combat and only cosmetics for one, and for two we need to focus on new content and balancing already existing items that aren't balanced currently.

No to pets.

well

mecha knights arn't over powered nor do they add lagws. and perhaps they need a pet slot that has to be unlocked for a few hundered CE for a month (and have a max of one slot) and also the pets could die like player and wouldnt do much damage. like max 100 dmg in stratum 6 which is barely anything for an attack in stratum 6. considering average stratum 6 monsters would have about 2000). so basically pets would be a mecha knight that is a part of ur equipment that looks different, has different styles of attacking, and has a slightly different AI. that definetly isnt over powered and may actually be under powered but still be great
