So...how do you guys out there get Krogmo coins?

I recently realized that in total, a 3-5* line of Krogmo coin recipes, notably the Shockburst Brandish line, need a total of 300 Krogmo coins.

After the new patch, everyone except me was talking about their voltedges.

I just don't get it; how do you amass 300 krogmo coins? It must take forever, seeing as even in playing all this time, I only have 58 (although I don't really play that much).

What's the secret? is it winning in Lockdown a million times? or is it just grinding Blast Network for over 9000 hours? How do you guys do it?

Playing Lots of Lockdown

For me, I alternated between playing T3 lockdown and T1 lockdown.

For something like the 5* recipe, you need 150 coins which is about the same as Basil:
150 coins * 200 entry fee each = 30k crowns vs 25k normal @ Basil.

However, that is assuming you loose each and every time. Playing different games, you will end up with some good players sometimes which allows you to get 2 coins instead of one. If you manage to win each and ever time, you half the time needed.

What was neat about the Steam Holiday Sale was the T1 new players. Somehow people had extra energy to spend so there were quite a few bribes.
With bribes, you can either get an extra coin for everyone or 2 coins for winning which seem to be pretty common. So, for each game, you could get 1, 2, 3, or 4 coins depending on if you win or loose and what the reward is.

In addition, if you have extra energy for yourself and do not want to bribe King Krogmo, you can also get the Coin Boosters which add an extra coin to the winnings of each game I think which helps.

With everything added up, you don't need to play 300 games total unless you have really bad luck. In addition, feel free to space the games out a bit and do some clockworks as you also need some crowns to actually play. Have some fun, switch modes, and try different things.

Good luck to you as I have gone though mostly the same thing,
-Wolf

With a decent amout of

With a decent amout of matches (1-2 hours a day) -not forgetting to also do random clockworks runs to buy energy- you may get one in a month unless you are veeery unlucky to always lose/not get bribes.

Hmm...took about a week for

Hmm...took about a week for me too. (1 hour a day playing LD). Basically I had a shockburst brandish, but I bought it off AH for 16k crowns. I wasted CE bribing Krogmo from time to time, but mostly it depends on skill. For me, I am not too good at lockdown because I don't have a flourish. Death mark + Unsuspecting Dusker = win. I am probably not making myself too clear, but just do your best at T2 LD (or T3), don't waste any of your own CE bribing/reviving over 4, and attack with a plan.

Edit: One more thing: If you are not a top lockdown player, you WILL encounter a losing streak eventually. Happened to me a lot.

Rage LD

I had six Coin Boosters and raged on Lockdown for about six or seven hours. Luckily I was playing at times when a lot of players were on so I didn't have to wait between matches for more players.

I didn't buy the boosters with CE. I got them at various times, mostly from special energy packs that OOO offers from time to time.

I had been playing Blast

I had been playing Blast Network nonstop for a week, back when this stuff was new. So I easily gathered the 300 for my Toxic Needle line.

I myself like T2 Lockdown nowadays. At the time, I always did my Clockwork run, using my 100 mist for the day. (As with BN) I would then play for a few hours and always had my milestones for the day. I would play with the intent to get anywhere from 10-25 coins. By that logic, a more casual 10 tokens a day would mean about a month of playing, where as 25 coins or more obviously means getting the items sooner. If I reached my goal sooner than expected and had more time to kill, I would rinse and repeat the cycle.
I also made sure I was doing T2 lockdown with decent gear, nothing fresh. Not that there's anything wrong with playing in all 2* gear, but playing with fully heated 3* gear ensures your survivability and at least some ability to last and do something in a match. There's nothing cool about being a squishy dead weight.

I also contribute extra energy if I know it's going to fill the bribe. I had times where I didn't bother using my 20 energy on a couple random floors and would toss 4-5 CE into a bribe. I had a lot of times where I got 3 coins for winners 2 for all or whatever and my team would win.

The trick is to not sit and reflect on the losses, but on the fact it is supposed to be a fun game. But, if you are really just having too much trouble/getting frustrated either take a break or don't requeue -- wait a few minutes and hopefully you'll be put in a game with fresher faces.
I can play for hours and forget the time.

Just after the steam

Just after the steam achievement had come out, I put on 6 boosters and played T1 LD. Made 900-1k coins in the 24h the boosters lasted.

I did an experiment to see if

I did an experiment to see if selling enamorocks to fund coin boosters could be self sustaining. It was, but by the time I had 3 boosters running I was getting burnt out so that was a good time to get the recipes rather than just breaking even.
