I couldn't decide whether to post this in suggestions or arsenal so I decided to go with this first since I haven't thought about this enough
So, what if neutralizer were elemental damage?
What's the reasoning behind this question? Don't we have enough elemental weapons already?
The reasoning: biohazard is neutralizer's counterpart, it deals shadow damage. Imagine argent peacemaker doing piercing+normal damage. It would not make sense. Neutralizer deals normal damage. Normal damage weapons are plentiful and I think it's quite safe to say they are bad. All armor sets resist them damage-wise (aside from few which are very rarely used) and normal damage is very lackluster overall.
Personally I have never seen anyone with this weapon, I think it would gain quite a lot of popularity if it were this nuke-ish elemental robot/undead destroyer. Being pure elemental damage it would have a lot more purpose being such a complex gun
Too much elemental weapons you say? Well, none of them are burst styled. Alchemer's selling point is the status effects and bouncing around, polaris has it's knockback, argent peacemaker has fast firing speed.
PS. make supernova shadow damage :3
Reasons to not make elemental:
Neutralizer does about 211 per charge in FSC, totaling about 300 damage with the charge and normal shot. The neutralizer damage is very impressive. The fact that it is normal is good too, because it then can do good damage against everything.
I was in a Decon Zone, and after some aiming, I charge shotted a gremlin (cornered). Also, I did the same to alpha wolvers (while in bite animation). Pretty fun. Also, if you have, say, a lumber, and you have shots orbiting it, set them off and everything in the radius of the explosion will take some nice damage. I have a neutralizer, and I love it in PvE. But in PvP, you'd be better off with an iron slug.
If the neutralizer were changed to elemental, then it might just over take blitz needle and Polaris as FSC guns. (211 normal in FSC, over 350 if elemental possibly. I wish I could upload a video of neutralizer in FSC, RJP, and various places. Unfortunately, though, I have a Mac. Hard to find decent and reasonably priced/free software for recording as far as I know.
