And as ctr trinkets are added, the amount of groundslamming sudaruska charges has increased by about 63.7% Each slam does considerable damage, destroying the surrounding areas and causing structural weakness.
On top of that, the gremlin workforce is facing a shortage. Many questing adventurers are destroying the gremlin population using their acheron carelessly. Thus the clockworks are in danger of collapsing upon the core.
In the end, the spiral knights have banded together to protect their endeavor into the core. Against the wishes of the gunslingers, they banned all knights from pointing a gun at the ground. Sword users, besides the troika family, are also forbidden to hit the ground.
And that is why gunners can't hit bushes.

Well isn't it obvious? If you're in a fight with enemies around you and you try to shoot one only to have this random bush stop your bullet, wouldn't you be mad? Especially on levels where the bushes "line up" and make a wall. Would you want that? Didn't think so.

Why not make it so that bullets simply penetrate bushes, so it breaks them and keeps going? that would solve the issue pretty quickly.
You can. You have to aim at the bush so that when you shoot, the bush is at the maximum distance that your bullet travels (aka where it disappears). More trouble than it's worth but it's doable.
