If you don't understand the term in the title at first glance, let me explain with an example (this is my most recent one and the reason for me creating the thread):

Since I started playing T1 Lockdown during the steam holiday promo, I started using my crafting alts mist to craft circuit breaker armors and emberbreak helms. What I most wanted was a Normal Max UV (yeah yeah, like I need to be more OP, I know). Never got anything more than a few mediums, none normal. This week I crafted one of said Emberbreaks into a Firebreak Helm to make into a costume piece, and what do you know? I get a UV on it! Wonder what it is.... NORMAL MAX >.<

Trolled.

Other examples include rolling UV's and getting the same UV you started out with after 3-4 rolls, then giving up.

Anyone else experienced anything similar?

I was rage crafting Plate

I was rage crafting Plate Shields to get a fire UV.

So I decided to craft about 50 shields that day.

First try; Stun Maximum!

Second try: Stun medium!

Fifth try: Stun low!

Then no UV's.

True story.

So I gave up after.

I don't really rage craft or Punch, so I don't have any interesting stories. ;x

I must have spent MILLIONS trying to get decent UVs on my Gran Faust, but one day, I decide to roll for single UVs on my Divine set, and on my first try each, I get the following:

Divine Mantle: Poison Resist High
Divine Veil: Freeze Resist Max

Not only that, but the only weapon I didn't expect to get a UV on, my Callahan, gives me a crazy UV when I craft it: Very High vs. Fiend.

There is no hope for my Faust.

Well I did get a pretty nice

Well I did get a pretty nice shock max on an elemental hood on my 5-6th uv somewhere else, but that's not really trolling in context with every other UVs I've gotten, which were pretty decent. CTR med on freezing vaporizer on the 1st try. I think the worst troll I've gotten was when I actually sold a haze bomb right before the update where they split the pathways from the haze bomb line. I had a ctr med but only sold it for like 4k cr at the AH, which I thought was similar to the other ones sold if I remember. I wondered why high had bids(or was it a cheaper buy out?) of 200k+ cr, now I know I guess. Ah well, I guess even now, people are still selling stuff for quite a deal, but it is not frequent. And this was back when I thought only UVs were profitable and selling non-uvs futile, which it still is of course, but I didn't pursue

Man, kicking myself for not pursuing these earlier and finding out about other stuff until November. And I was playing since June. Did the arena stuff to get money, but during that period my mind was focused on getting everything and selling UV stuff to fund it since the armor will boost weapons, etc. Here I was thinking in my head that non-uvs weren't profitable in the long run I guess, and it still sort of isn't when you consider using the mist for dungeon runs or whatever.

I got extremely counterproductive UVs once

Freeze high, stun low, piercing low when I upgraded my Dusker Cap to Ash Tail Cap.

These are great UVs but I was DREAMING about Vog Cub for weeks, and the game practically forced me to go Skolver instead.

My fails with Punch. Ive had more succeses than failures.

Fail Gran Faust rolls:
Fiend medium
Gremlin Low
Charge time reduction low
Beast Low
Construct Low
Charge time reduction low

Kept getting these [crappy] UV's, after 7th roll i decided to roll on a Sealed Sword instead. Got CTR Medium on first roll =.= Sold it and bought a ASI Medium one instead. (my current Gran Faust :3)

Also wasted 100k Cr on my BTB a few days ago.

Okay whatever I am making my DA now so I remove the UV:

(I give up after that and keep the asi).

Fun fact: Now that I have my

Fun fact: Now that I have my elevator pass, I basically treat myself to a free UV roll every other full Vana run (D18 all the way down), since I usually make enough crowns to barely cover it.

That being said, I had just crafted my Snarbolax Coat and got Shadow High. Then decided to roll my Skolver Coat through Punch since I had the crowns and get Shadow Maximum. And then Beast VH on a Sealed Sword, Piercing High on a Crest of Almire and Elemental High on Barbarous Thorn Shield.

I quit after that, mostly because the UVs were amazing, but put on the worst things ever. Except Beast VH. That's always bad.

I was at Punch one day and decided to put some UVs on some of my stuff, so the first time:

Damage vs. Undead Max... on my Gran Faust... -_______________-
Second try with GF: Damage vs fiend high... fail.
Third try: Damage vs gremlin low. good enough.

And then I got ASI med on my DA :D

Autoguns!

I spent a while Ragecrafting Autoguns...

After the first day, I only had a +dam vs gremlin low

Next day, I delve into my CE reserves and only ended up with +dam vs undead low.

The next day with 50 mist I got +dam vs gremlin low AND +dam vs undead low on the same autogun...

I gave up Autoguns for several weeks. When I ran out of Monster Bones for brandishes, I spent some mist on an Autogun...
CTR low!

I've given up Autoguns since.

The only time I ever bought a UV ticket was for my Final Flourish. Of course I got Very High damage to Construct.
However, when I crafted my Cold Iron Carver, it got a UV of low damage to undead xD

First time I achieved a UV without even trying. However, it was undead low on a nightblade. :( Later sold it to a vendor.

Couple months later, begin crafting cobalt helms to sell. Got lots of profit. :)

Then: UV Achieved! Yay! I wonder what it is?

Curse Low.

Okay...

Couple days later

UV Achieved! Yay! I wonder what it is?

Shadow low.

Okay...

Next day: UV Achieved! Yay, I wonder what it is?

Shadow Med.

Yay?

the next day again.

UV Achieved! Yay, I wonder what it is?

NORMAL MAX.

O.O Holy Crud Wat?

Next day: UV Achieved: Yay! I wonder what I got?

Okay...

I also have a Wolver coat with UV Freeze Med. But I bought that one.

ANyways, you can tell that the UV gods love me. :) 4 UVs in a row.

in a 3 day period

i crafted:
elem max wolver cap
max normal + freeze low wolverc ap
max normal + fire med wolver coat

then i was all OMG, i'm getting soooo lucky.
so i rolled on a non UV wolver cap and got max elem O.O

i kept the two double uvs and they are now my snarby set XD
sold the others for profits.

------------------------------------
everything below that line is stuff i've crafted in my lifetime.

I've also crafted in brandishes
vh ctr brandish x1 (sold)
vh ctr + med asi brandish (my uber voltedge)
asi vh brandish x2
and this morning:
asi vh + ctr low brandish.
and countless vh construct brandishes, lol. (and a few nightblades!! bully!!)

mind you, this is craftign over the course of a year with 4 alts a day. So i still have about 90% non UV craft rate, and most of my UVs are low and lame.

I've done pretty poorly.

I got impatient with mist crafting once and Rage Rolled at Punch. The results are as follow.

Brandish:
Gremlin Med.
Slime Low.
ASI Low.
Slime Low.
Fiend Low.
Gremlin low.
Construct low.

Now..That's how to spend 140k! fml... >:I I try not too roll UV's at punch anymore..It eats into my pockets soo much. Dx I've probably quite easily spent over 800k at punch and I've got some mighty fine UV's...But some weapons just do NOT want to give you anything good. Especially my GF...I rolled like 10 times on that so far and the best is construct low...

OP clearly doesn't know what the term "Trolling" means. Get it right you lot.

Crafted UVs:
- Nightblade: Gremlin Medium
- Avenger: Gremlin Medium
- Master Blaster: Gremlin Medium
- Autogun: ASI Low
- Sunset Stetson: Medium Normal Defense
- Volcanic Demo Helm: Low Curse Resistance
- Voltaic Tempest: Gremlin Medium
- Grey Owlite Shield: Low Normal Defense
- Green Ward: Medium Elemental Defense (Yes, I know it can't be crafted manually.)
- Tempered Calibur: Undead Medium
- Toxic Vaporizer: CTR Low+Undead Low
- Cutter: ASI Low+ Fiend Low
- cutter: Undead Low+Slime Low
- Cutter: Beast Low

Punch UVs:
- Shivermist Buster: Slime Low
- Nameless Poncho: Freeze Low on first attempt, Poison Low on second attempt
- Fang of Vog: Fiend Low on first attempt, ASI Low on second attempt

And since all of my rage-crafts were used with mist, I haven't really lost much. Feels good man.

Troll?

I don't understand if you are trolling us about getting that UV, or just that SK trolled you...?

Either way, I have had months of crafting autoguns (around 90), maybe 1/10 of those had UV's, and terrible ones at that.
My luck with crafting is terrible.

First time I go to Punch, I got CTR High on DA, Next roll I get ASI High on AP.
Sorta makes up for months of wasted rage-crafting.
