the Steam event is over....

I do not recommend attempting to farm coins in T1 LD
All the proto noobs have pretty much left T1 LD so the people that still play all know how to play.

For T1 everything must be 1* or lower including trinkets.

all you need

Any combination of the breaker armors. I prefer mixing sets so the status resists cancel out the status weaknesses.
Heavy hatchet

and naturally
2 heart pendents

Adding to what Trying has

Adding to what Trying has already said, you might also be interested in a Bolted Blade or a Static or Hot Edge sword if you prefer faster swords (the Heavy Hatchet can be very frustrating to use at times). Any of the guns (even the lowly proto gun) are good for plinking from a distance to interrupt attacks, while the pummel gun adds an almost useful amount of damage.

A few people run with the Thwack Hammer instead of the Heavy Hatchet, but be aware that it does less damage to knights despite the damage bar being the same length.

ALL of your gear must be 0 or

ALL of your gear must be 0 or 1 stars. And any loadouts you have with higher-level gear must be marked non-PvP otherwise you'll still go into a higher tier.

What? Its simple. The highest

What? Its simple. The highest * gear you have counts for your entire set. The lockdown system throws you in the tier that your highest piece is at. 0/1* for t1. 2/3 for T2, and 4/5 for t3.

Frankly, farming coins from

Frankly, farming coins from T1 lockdown isn't worth it. Correct me if I'm wrong, 2 coins from each game won, and 1 from each game lost. This can be increased by having Krogmo Boosters or spending mist and CE bribing, but a lot of the time it isn't worth it unless you're sure you will win. Also, you only make 80 crowns per lockdown game won, unless someone leaves and you still win (as shown here here http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/18/owngagelockdown.png/). And if you lose, you lose 200 crowns. So, unless you can win 3 out of every 4, you will be losing money. Even if you are good, your team may be really bad, or too many people might leave, so victory isn't always assured. Also, T1 lockdown is probably the worst place to farm from. So few people play it that getting into a game is very lucky, and most of them are T2 or T3 players, so winning a game there is even luckier.
