Newb Weapon/Gear Questions?

So I started playing this over the weekend, got to T2, wasted a heap of crowns buying gear/recipes that I dont need, ohh well, I can always make more.

So my questions are these:

1.) Is there anyway to reliably compare weapons/gear? Specifically, I'm currently using a Troika sword, now I've noticed that you can only upgrade this to 4*, yet I have heard it compared to other 5* swords.

Is it viable to upgrade this weapon all the way, or am I better off trying to get a Sealed Sword and then upgrade that (I'm enjoying the heavy sword idea)? Is there anyway to compare their damage/speed outputs without actually having both (say some sort of DPS figure or similar)? The Attack/Speed bars dont seem very reliable.

2.) Is there anyway to get someone else to upgrade a weapon/armour that is already bound to me? Or do I need to get the recipe and do it myself?

3.) I have seen the term 'UV' used in reference to higher quality gear? What is this? When should I start worrying about it?

Thanks in advance.

1) Sorry, not really, no.

1) Sorry, not really, no. Advice is given on the forum and the wiki, its reliability is... fair.
2) If it's bound then no, you need to upgrade it yourself. It can be cheaper to pay someone to craft the whole thing for you though (but then you risk them running off with everything, ebcause they have to level the item up for 4 and 5 star items)
3) "Unique Variant" - bascially any time you craft you have roughly a 10% chance of the item getting some small added bonus. I got some extra shadow defence, for example. Some people will pay a small fortune for the better ones, yesterday someone was oferring 800CE for a specific UV on a wolver cap.
Worry about it? When you've got your endgame gear, I should think. Up till then it's a nice bonus, but nothing you can count on.

Cool. Thanks very much. Is

Cool. Thanks very much.

Is there a list of UVs somewhere that I can look at? Couldnt find anything on the wiki.

And can anyone comment on the 4* Khorovod vs the 5* heavy swords like the Gran Faust/Divine Avenger (or are there other 'heavy' swords I should consider)?

Khorovod has stun potential,

Khorovod has stun potential, making it great CC.
Gran Faust has Curse potential making it extremely useful.
Divine Avenger is elemental damage, making it useful on certain mobs, but not on others. It's charge attack is pretty good though, especially if you get Charge Time Reduction.
