Seems like the general consensus on how the last few gates turned out before being changed was that they sucked. All beast gates, with a bit of slime thrown in on the side. Without any coordination among the people playing, autosellers will prevail and continue to make awful gates for the rest of us trying to experiment with mineral distribution.

So in an attempt to rally people to work together and create specific types of gates, let's use this as a general thread for requesting specific types of mineral distribution. Starting off:

Gate: Diamond Bishop
Floors: 09-12
Material distribution: Dark Matter (purple)

So far I've convinced my 30+ guildmates to join in on this, so dark matter has a pretty significant lead over the other minerals. But any help we'd get would be appreciated. Also, leave whatever information on the gates you want others to help you influence too!

And everything else I'm carrying I'll sell as well.

This probably belongs in suggestion - but why not make autosell go across all elevators? That would make boosting actually work.

I think that autosellers would still autosell, but surely some people would see that someone has boosted a particular color and favor it when picking between two shards of the same size at least.

More to the point, have people actually figured out what will determine what gate comes out? The wiki page on Gate Construction has a bunch of speculation on it. Never quite got why Three Rings didn't explain it to some extent at least, as they surely would like people to sink crowns into gate building (why else put boosting in at all?).

Autosell across gates - Until

Autosell across gates - Until the boosted payouts are worth running back and forth between all the gates, this is it right here.

Actually, it would be cool to be able to access one terminal and tab between all the in-construction gates, so that you can decide where you want to invest your crystals, or your boost money, without running between a handful of gates with a pad full of notes or whatever.

Hasso: There's another thread somewhere where an admin has said they will be explaining the construction system in an upcoming patch. Basically, he said that nobody's using it because nobody knows how to use it, so they're going to address it with an in-game explanation of some sort.

It's because green, from what I can tell, is the single most common crystal color that'll show up on any given floor in t1 and 2. I've gone three straight floors with nothing but green crystals showing up (although the third floor did have two yellow ones). So I assume autosellers seem to have a lot more green to autosell than the other colors. Which is saddening. :( Poison stratums are laaaaaaame.
