I only use two weapon weapon slots, but I always use a sword and gun. And I switch around a lot, even while attacking one monster, and especially when attacking two. So I was wondering what would be a good t2 gear setup for me. Right now I'm opting toward using a wolver coat, a gunslinger hat, a cutter, a firetech alchemer, and an owlite shield. But I'm not sure whether that'd be the best setup I could get. Any better ideas out there?
Thanks

That actually sounds like a pretty good idea, although I would probably replace the Cutter with a Nightblade/Flourish-type sword. That way, you'll have shadow/piercing damage(Sword) and elemental damage(The gun.)
The Cutter is kinda weak and only deals normal damage, so I figure you would want specialize damage(Shadow, Elemental, Piercing) so you can kill monsters that are weak to a particular type of damage faster.(Such as Slime monsters being weak to shadow damage.)

^Monster Resistances. That should explain all of the monster races' weakness and strengths against a particular type of damage.
EDIT: I got ninja'ed....='(
A combination of a Nightblade and an Elemental Alchemer (I prefer Prismatech, but Fire is probably better to be honest) is probably the best easily-obtainable sword/gun set for T2. Both weapons are excellent for all-around usage, perfectly suited for both Ironclaw Munitions Factory and Royal Jelly Palace, and are also good in T3 if you upgrade them.
Thanks everyone for all the help. I'm gonna get both a Snarble Barb (just got enough tokens!) and a Nightblade so I can switch around when I like. But I was also wondering what armor, helmet, and shield to use. Does anyone have any idea's what might workout well?
Thanks
Depending on which weapon you use the most, you can go full dusker or full gunslinger. Consider what you usually run. RJP? Get full dusker, since the piercing defence will be nice. Anything else, and you can mix and match with regards to your swod/gun preference.
You could go with a magic hood (for elemental in IMF) and wolver coat (piercing for RJP) with either a twisted targe or owlite shield. This will suit your tier 2 needs nicely and scale up well for tier 3 - divine veil/skolver which is a good all around set. Or you could go divine/vog and specialize for FSC because the fire resistance is what you'll really need there.
It really depends what your future plans are, in terms of armor. Shield wise, i suggeset grey owlite cuz it's probably one of the best utility shields out there (I would suggest Barb. Thorn shield too, but if you get Skolver, it's not necessary since both give sword damage increases). Grey owlite protects against normal and elemental, with good health and protection from fire and shock. Armor, as Realnight said, is good all around, since it protects against Normal, Elemental, Piercing, Shadow, and a bunch of statuses.
Am I right in thinking for a slightly more aggressive playstyle for T2 I'd like a Wolver + spiral demo helm with an owlite or skelly shield? (Primarily deals in the undead/"demon" levels)
I'm using Skolver Coat + Grey Feather Cowl (UV Stun med) and it works great if you can dodge Lumbers and Trojans. For T2 it would be Dusker Coat and Elemental Hood.
The nightblade series is actually good against any kind of enemy, except fiends and undead. I'd rather not use piercing swords, but that's just my opinion as I'm very bad using them. Instead of my Thorn Blade I prefer an elemental weapon.
Skold-The-Drac, "slightly more agressive" than what? If you're into swords and bombs, then it's not a crazy idea to mix up your armor. Keep in mind that Owlite protects against more important statuses, than does Skelly.
In general, you want to carry two (or three) non-normal damage types. Consider a piercing sword with an elemental gun. Or consider a shadow sword with an elemental gun. (Elemental is usually the best kind of damage, to have on a gun.)
You might find my sword guide, handgun guide, etc. helpful. Or maybe not.
