This is happening everywhere there are shadows.
It happened in the first release too.
After it patched, this started happening and I don't know why.
It was fine before that, though.

The reason is likely your video driver not being up to date.
If you know where to find your video drivers check for a newer one and see if that works. Let me know if it did or didn't.
If you're not sure where to find that info run "dxdiag.exe" (for Windows) and in the Display tab check for the following to reply back with:
Device - name:
Drivers - version:
Drivers - date:
It was working fine the first time I started it up, after it patched the shadows were all flickery like in the picture.
I don't think it's my drivers, but this might be of some use anyway.
Card name: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
Driver Version: 7.15.0010.1527 (English)
Driver Date: 10/10/2010
I discovered how to fix this problem, for myself at least.
I have a GeForce GT335 M video card in my laptop, and I meet all the minimum specs listed in the other thread.
However, to save energy, the laptop doesn't use the GeForce unless it feels like I need to render awesome graphics. Instead, it uses the Integrated Graphics when I run Spiral Knights by default. This causes shadow-disco on the Highest game graphic setting.
If I click on the icon in the lower left of the screen to open the NVIDIA Control Panel, and then Manage the 3D settings, I can set my preferred graphics processor to the proper High-performance NVIDIA processor option. This completely cures the shadow disco.
There's also an option to force it to switch by program, but Spiral Knights is not showing up on the list of programs on my computer, and I haven't had any luck with browsing to and adding it. So for now, I'll be turning the video card on and off to play.
You could try adding Java to that list? Or javaw.exe?
Well I did A LOT of fiddling and while I managed to fix a fair few issues (thanks to the projectx log), this one still remains.
I don't what I can do fix it, I've tried everything I can to get everything else to work but this just won't go away.
It's not a huge bug, but it's very annoying for me.
I'm not sure exactly when this happened, and I'm not sure that it's exactly the same bug because I haven't gone back up to Haven, but my solution has stopped working. I am now getting shadow disco on both of the energy vendors in moorcraft no matter which graphic setting I'm using (low, medium or high).
I see the same thing on my new laptop that runs Window 7.
My desktop that runs Vista handles it fine.
What specs would be helpful to track this down?
