Because I can't find the thread and it's not on the first two pages so I guess it's too old to bump so I'll make a new one.
So, what is the Spiral-Knights community listening to?
Gotye's "Someone I Used to Know"
Counting the days. Counting the days. I can't wait until they release the cd.
I've been listening to the Cafeteria level's BGM on Rusty Hearts.

I dunno what else to say, it just has a good beat to it.
EDIT:
Lower Plant has some good music too.
Listening to a playlist so I'll grab the first 5 songs....

BEST FREAKING SONG EVAAAAAAAAR:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYF2mT-yy4o
I've spent the last few days trying to work my way through this. Good background music, but some parts are much, much better than others.
Some not-as-stupidly-long-but-crazy-good Prog.
Hoping plans to see these guys in concert work out, 3 hour drive one way be damned.
This has become my favorite Vanaduke music, as well as being generally awesome. (I WILL DEFEAT YOU!)
Remembered about this pair of songs a while back. Fell in love with them again.
http://lodubs.bandcamp.com/album/swarms-old-raves-end
found out about this from Sweatshirt/Mogasaki who was using it as an artistic influence.
Or you can now because I pointed it out.

I haven't listen to these guys for a long while.
Can't believe no ones done Rickroll yet! (Sorry if you hate being Rickrolled)
Here's my ACTUAL playlist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zub7o3MguEg
Actually that's the only one :P
ocremix.org streaming radio. good to switch to every so often so the SK music doesn't get old.
Been listening to these songs lately

Gojira, Born of Osiris, Periphery, Veil of Maya, and Animals as Leaders
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqtDRyoqYG0&feature=related
Conquest - Destiny
^A new band I'm listening to. Kinda reminds of Iron Maiden a little.
EDIT:
This one has an epic intro, I just had to post it! :D

Conquest - Endless Power

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swelUxCCg-8&feature=related
^Found these guys out by "accident" when searching for more Conquest songs.
They seem pretty promising.
And yes...I'm (a) weeboo/wapanese. I'm also bit of a metal head too. *Puts up flame shield.*
I kinda meant what are the people who play SK listening to these days in general. Which may or may not be SK music.
Have some BBC Radiophonic Workshop. No that is not an ironic band name these people legit worked for the BBC and made electronic music for them and their shows and ads and even did sound effects for Doctor Who in his really early days
Jazz
Big Band mainly. Examples:
- Sing Sing Sing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhyhP_5VfKM
- In the Mood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CI-0E_jses&feature=related
- Alianza: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJ3GAGE9D44
- Burritos to Go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmQ9tKW0RPA
Occasionally I find songs like One-Eyed Maestro that I fall in love with immediately.

True Blue - Super Sonic Racing
I'm not going to lie, I honestly can't stand the Sonic series, but I LOVE the music. Even if it's corny beyond all reason.
(Warning: video is a bit risque and really trippy)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F7GNQAO4T4
Cause it's really simple. Especially 3:11.
OOOOOOH LET ME IN
Best lyrics I've heard in a while (damn this forum code).
Diablo Swing Orchestra.

If any of your extremities move in any motion to the song's beat, you lose.

^Avenged Sevenfold Bat Country.
What can I say? One of my favorite songs by them!
Guns N' Roses, Queen, AC/DC, 'nuff said.
I Like a broad range of stuff but I tend to gravitate towards Metal (and all its sub-genres) and 80's rock. Got way too many favourite bands to list em all but here's a few:
Blind Guardian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb9fo6dsZoo
Van Canto: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shw3lYC6DsY
Equilibrium: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yom8nNqmxvQ
Dismember: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYsjyOVXWy8
A Skylit Drive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jd8UD3E82Bc
Europe (famous for ''the final countdown''): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eeJID5QeLg&ob=av2e
Wigwam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9uV4M9lL1w
@ Kreuz-Drache I thought I was the only one who liked Conquest XD, honestly wasn't expecting them to pop up here
Justin Bieber...........
Is Cool :D
*prepares for insults*
Justin Bieber's songs are overrated mainstream pop and completely lacking any depth or meaning. Basically shallow songs for girls.
Oh wait...
- I Like a broad range of stuff but I tend to gravitate towards Metal (and all its sub-genres) and 80's rock.
That's kinda how I describe myself too, only except I can't stand the majority of rap songs. >-< Pretty much what I mostly heard along with country when I was younger.
- @ Kreuz-Drache I thought I was the only one who liked Conquest XD, honestly wasn't expecting them to pop up here
Yeah, I like looking up the lesser known bands. Mainstream isn't bad in my opinion, but I like discovering good, but not as well known bands. It helps broaden my music. Always nice to know another metal head. \m/^_^
- You use Cautery Sword, don't you?
I kinda chuckled at this. xD
Anyways....

Beast and the Harlot - Avenged Sevenfold
I've been in an A7X mood lately....
1) He's a teenage kid who barely hit puberty and is made into an almost overnight sensation. When his voice gives out it's all over for him. Unless he's lucky and still retains some of his old quality.
2) Teen sensation=masses and masses of screaming fangirls, who alone I dislike hearing about because it makes girls sound like hard-up for famous attention people.
In other words, girls that like famous people going: 'ohmaigawd dat guy dere is SOOO hawt I mean look at 'im he's like smoking OMG did he just look at me!? OMG HE LOOKED AT ME OMG!!!!!! /faint'.
These sort of people I don't like. People that judge other based solely on status and are so hard up for their attention.
Having someone they're all simultaneously attracted to = Huge concentrated masses of them. Me just knowing huge masses of them exist irks me already, let alone knowing they gather to watch him. Same time same place same guy same people.
3) He sings of love songs, yet is probably too young to understand what he's even signing about.
4) He sings about first love/only girl for him/broken heart/don't leave me etc, yet has a different 'prop girl' for every song.
5) He walks into glass doors, because opening and walking through them is too mainstream.
I not jelly. Jealousy was never my strong point.
@ Psychodestroyer
Reason 6) he doesn't know what German is XD
@ Kreuz-Drache
I can't stand rap either, but with one exception ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCGmxKaRb1E ), though I guess it only counts as half :P. And yeah, lesser known artists tend to produce more unique music compared to the mainstream ones that are more or less bound to produce whatever generic crap happens to be popular. Doesn't mean mainstream's bad or that the artists are poor musicians, it just gets boring after a while.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddFj_eMPCnE
I can't believe people actually disliked this. They deserve death.
This is music from an anime called "Kaiba". It is a good show
And this is from Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex It is also a good show
good stuff
