Make the Party Invite notification show depth and stage name

You're just hanging around the auction house when suddenly, with no warning, someone invites you to join his or her party. You're about to click the Let's Go! button - but wait, do you have the right equipment for the map you're about to join? You need information about the level, so you have to go to your social tab and find the person who just invited you (if he/she's there at all), check their gate and depth, then, unless you have that gate completely memorized, you need to go into the arcade and check what the stratum theme is, maybe even what exact stage they're on. Alternatively, you can try asking the person who invited you, which involves you typing out a question, the other person stopping whatever they were doing, and typing a response back, maybe even having to check the gate map if they don't remember clearly.

What a hassle. The solution? Have the Party Invite notification display the floor number and map name/icon. I imagine it's not too hard to implement, and this small addition can save a lot of time for many players.

Glad I'm not the only one who wants this.

Option #2: Have an additional button that says "View Gate Map". Should be self-explanatory.

Yes, this is badly needed. I want to see all that the OP suggested, plus the gate icon (and name) in the party invite pop-up.

Hide > Social Tab > Check Map

Hide > Social Tab > Check Map > Accept/Deny

Don't get me wrong, it's not exactly convenient if you're not already in the arcade but it's not as if it's just a blind pot luck thing; the option to check is there. or even do it the old fashioned way:

/w [whoever] Any shock greavers on that floor?

Only takes a couple of minutes at most, if you're that pressed for time you really shouldn't be accepting random invites.

Sometimes...

Its not so simple.

I can log on to receive an invite from a friend, who's shouting 'Come quick!' 'Quickly!' 'PLZ hurry!'

I don't exactly have time to run over to check the gate map, or to even ask whats going on. He started with 2 mins to decide what to do, he may be at 10 when he found me.

I see your point, but sometimes being invited to a fiend arena while you're geared up for RJP when a friend presses you for time can hurt a lot.

My 2 cents.

Figure if it's urgent enough

Figure if it's urgent enough that they're telling you to hurry /right this minute/ then simply saying "shock devils!" or "fire greavers" will ultimately take less time than you looking through a gate map and reminding yourself which mobs are within that, especially when you include the time to find your appropriate loadout.

It's either going to have enough time for them to tell you, or it's so immensely urgent that even looking at a prompted gate map won't help, or that whatever the gate is won't matter regardless for whatever reason.

I mean, I'm not against it at all, see no real reason to NOT have it...just see no real need for it either, I guess.

Well yes, this isn't

Well yes, this isn't absolutely necessary, there's no doubt the game can live without it. But OOO did give us loadouts, and that wasn't absolutely necessary either, but it sure made things a lot more convenient.

Hey I like discussing with ppl and reading different opinions, but Darkbrady is being such a hater right now...
I mean, you can't deny this would be a nice new addition to the game, would help lots of ppl and stuff. The only valid arguement to counter this idea is saying that it's too hard for the devs to implement this, but guess what? It's not.
I just don't get your point on not wanting this.

Isn't it funny how everyone who calls me a hater has a remarkeably habit of only reading tiny sections of my posts, and none of the relevant bits. Oh well, s'not my fault some people would rather flame than pay attention.

I'm not a very hasty person when it comes to these sorts of things. Sure, I get bombarded by several requests a day, but I make sure I press the "hide" button, and look in my friends list to see WHERE they are. More often than not, I see they're at a depth of a gate I don't desire to dive down to.

That being said, why should we have to go through this process? We should at least have some sort of indication where we're being dragged down, not only for those hasty players, but for convenience.

It'll definitely save me the ten seconds it takes me to scroll through my friend list to find you're at the end of Red Carpet Runaround!

For convenience's sake.

Record-breaking attention on this thread, and it's not undue attention.

I completely agree with this, as it would be uber convenient. Whenever I get invites randomly while in the Town Square, I usually accept without question. Don't ask me why. But when I do, sure enough, I end up in the 1st or 2nd stage of Red Carpet Runaround with my Flourish handy (Current item I'm heating), and that's just real convenient isn't it?

Totally!

As it is now, I just never accept the invite. I check first and Pm them to ask what kind of level it is, are they dead, how far along are they. It would be great to somehow have this info when the invites comes.
