So, I know that in order to upgrade your gear you need to have a recipe. But is there by any chance some other way of doing it? For example, if im going to use a particular recipe only one time? Like, I don’t plan on making multiple electron bombs out of electron charges to make a living for myself .__. But do other people out there still buy their own recipes and upgrade by themselves? Cause it seems like that would be a lot of trouble. Thanks in advance (:

No there is no other way,

No there is no other way, unless you unbind your stuff so that someone else upgrade it (which would be a silly waste, because the unbind cost is way higher than the cost of a recipe).

In order to upgrade your stuff, you will have to find the recipe and learn it.

It is a lot of trouble;

It is a lot of trouble; that's the point and fun of the game; you can't just get something quickly; you're forced to find a recipe, craft, then upgrade to +5/10, find the next recipe, craft that.

It takes time. The game doesn't have a character levelling system, so they let you lvl up your weapons instead. If it didn't take time, you'd be finished with it too soon.

And who knows; there's nothing saying you won't craft more stuff one day. Maybe to help a friend, or craftspam the lower versions for UVs, and rebuild them up to 5*.

i personally dont mind buying

i personally dont mind buying the recipes as it is part of the fun of the game, but i would like to get more out of the recipes i buy. i would like it better if they took away the having to bind the item and level it to say 5 or 10, that way i could craft the item(s) and sell them on ah.. the unbind fees are rediculous and not worth unbinding the item once it gets to 3/4/5 *.. doing that i think would put alot more items on a.h as well as put more cr into the sk economy. and i would have more crowns to buy more uv's on the items i sell. i would buy the recipe make the first one and bind it and get uv's, then ragecraft multiples of the same and sell them on a.h

Which then leads into the

Which then leads into the problem of people creating 5* items to "get more out of the recipe", then selling on ah. Then the new players can just buy a whole set of 5*, and do each boss/tier run with no skill whatsoever.

good point

thats true! you made a great point that i didnt think of, but even then they would have to do alot of runs to start buyin 5* in a.h. unless they borrowed the crowns. maybe they could make it where u cant buy that tier recipe unless you are ready for that tier! idk just tryin to think of a better way to make the recipes more efficient for ppl like me who like to craft everything. i never buy items off a.h. unless its recipes that take way too long for me to get from basil.

If you have a friend, you can

If you have a friend, you can avoid buying any 2* or 3* recipes since those weapons don't need to be bound to you. It doesn't save a lot but it does add up.

(5k cr per weapon that you don't need to buy recipies for)

2* is genrally really cheap

2* is genrally really cheap to buy. People ragecraft, or craft with mist. Theres just no reason to craft at a loss, unless you are trying for uv's like other people.

If 5* were to have lower unbind, we can see an influx of new players buying ce, selling it on the market, buying 5*, dying, and quitting the game cuz its "QQ too hard"

RAGECRAFTING

Ragecrafting is basically you just craft the same item over and over and over again in hopes of getting a good UV. the alternative is using Punch, who gives you a random UV for 20k crowns. You can pay punch to give 1, 2 or 3 UVs on a weapon at the same time, but the price dramatically increases (non-linearly) per number of UVs on the weapon. The benefit ragecrafting has over punch is that it ends up being about the same price for a weapon with a UV, but with ragecrafting you have a chance of getting 2 or 3 UVs. Also, you can sell off your extras, UV or no, at the AH.

You can ragecraft either by spending purely your mist, two times a day for 2* items. The other option is just spending CE. All depends on preference/wealth.

Also, people forget that a lot of newbies start by buying CE. Most of the time, they buy the Starter Pack. With a few thousand CE, you can just sell it for crowns and then use that to buy the 5* equip.

Another benefit to recipes is that if you still have the option of ragecrafting a weapon you already have. For example, I had a nightblade. I once got bored and started ragecrafting brandishes. With some luck I got a Brandish with ASI high and +dam vs Gremlins med, which now is my dearly wuved Acheron. If I didn't have the Brandish and Nightblade recipes, I would have to rely on Punch and that could of taken a while (and a lot of crowns).
