The real problem with T3 lockdown

I bet you thought this was going to be another toothpick thread. Nope, Chuck Testa.

I played a bit of T3 for lulz with some crap gear I threw on. I wasn't expecting to win (though I did actually do a lot better than I expected), but what really threw me was how crap the framerate was whenever I engaged an enemy.

I was seriously getting maybe 5-10 fully rendered frames between the first sword swing and the point where I was dead on the ground. And it's not like I was dying *that* quickly, it still takes a while to toothpick through 41 bars of health.

This is what it looks like to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1IjeHt2ysE

I killed someone at around 3:15. Don't as me how, it's not like I actually saw it happen.

I literally launched SK, made a T3 loadout, and started playing lockdown. It's not like I ran IMF and FSC a few times first and needed to reclient. This is the performance I'm seeing with a perfectly clean client.

WTF, OOO? Is this what passes for acceptable performance?

@Usef-Berrys It was fun, but

@Usef-Berrys It was fun, but the framerate was getting progressively worse.

Hey!

At least the map wasn't Frostbite! Framerate issues woulda probably been worse.

@No-Thanks That would be

@No-Thanks That would be bizarre if that were the case, though it would explain why it was grinding shortly after spawning while the 41 health bars were filling up. No reason I can't give it a try, at least.

@Whimsicality I did have a match on Frostbite, and it was pretty bad.

No-Thanks
Zelda

i know that high hp causes lag when healing after having played a bit(and it increases faster when u rush out instead of waiting for the recovery to be done without moving around), but i wouldnt know if high hp could also partially be the cause for the kind of lag that u had only when encountering opponents in your video. i just suspected the hp because the hang ups didnt look random enough for a mere connection issue

@No-Thanks Weird, that

@No-Thanks Weird, that actually did improve things somewhat. Still too slow to be really playable, and it's kind of hilarious having so few hearts that, starting at full health, I can die from a toothpick combo between the time I release my mouse button and the first explosion from my voltedge charge. (4/5* armor, striker, no heart pends)

So WTF devs, how does having too many hearts make the graphics crawl?
