What the hell happened to energy!

It used to be like
Instant
4k to sell
5k to buy

now its like
7.5k to sell
15-20k to buy

Something seriously needs to be done, inflation is taking over!
OUR SK GOVERNMENT IS FAILING!!!!!
The boswickracy isnt working that well
Only name I could think of for the devs that worked, lol

It's because everyone has

It's because everyone has played pretty much all the content at this point, so very few people are buying more energy.

Those few people who are trading energy for crowns can pretty much set whatever prices they want.

When you hit a certain point,

When you hit a certain point, there's just no use for crowns anymore, so there's no incentive to trade energy for them. But there's always things to do with energy. As people progress through the preview, there will be more demand for energy than crowns.

Actually, half right

But, if people do not need more crown to level up, they surelly will need it to buy more energy to play more, and the actual price of the itens don't seen to actually let you self sustain your runs till the core, as you're paying more than you make in the dungeons (far more). Well, i think that we have a problem here...or someone from the dev set up the price floor to high purposelly, to ensure no self renovating plays (what i think is absurd, as we are in closed beta, and we are intended to play the game as much as we need to see failures and opportunittys to implement or change things); or some idiots are reallt thinking that they will profit as quick as they would by selling cheaper, and actually all the other peoples that sold cheap (as in 8-9k), or are they dead now, killed by the high sellers, in a conspiracy for world domination, or they simply don't want to pllay more, or pay more...

A good crown sink would

A good crown sink would rebalanced this. As you start the game, you have a large need for crowns. However as you continue there aren't really any crown sinks while there are energy sinks. I don't really have any need for crowns at this point. This then changes the crown value of energy. People are probably still buying energy, but they're using it rather than selling it. Give it time, I'm sure there will be crown sinks introduced that can address this. Personally, I'd also like to see the price for items from merchants be higher. It should be far cheaper to craft something than to just buy it.

Suggestions for crown sinks:
- Raise the prices for purchased items > 1 star.
- Add non-game changing decorative items for guild halls.
- Add a repair cost for armor and weapons based on the use of the item. Yes I understand people don't like paying for things, but it does end up being a good way to create continued crown sinks. Then when you return to a town, the damage would be accounted for and your items would need to be repaired. It would just be important to make sure it was clear when items were breaking and make sure people wouldn't end up without equipment.
- Add grossly expensive costume items to customize your look.

I buy energy to use the alchemy feature, and since the prices are so high on energy I can't really alchemize anymore. Inb4 "pay real money." No.

If there was more demand for

If there was more demand for Crowns it could work itself out. You could flood the market with energy offers at 4000 Crowns and then, of course, people will buy yours first. If enough people do this no one will be able to sell at such a high price. As long as people continue to be willing to pay more prices will inflate like crazy. One way this could be solved is to increase the exchange rate tax to force down the price, if it gets too bad an admin market reset could be in order. Or perhaps, as was likely mentioned in another thread, a way to siphon a percent of Mist Energy and store it as Crystal Energy at cost.

Actually it kind of is already working itself out, some players accustomed to the 4000 Crown pricing and are willing to ignore the market. However, this can only be fueled by those spending real money in the game, and none of us have money fountains lying around. (at least as far as I'm aware)

The real issue is simply

The real issue is simply this:

People do not have a need for crowns.

That's it. Period.

If a person has no use for crowns, then they will not buy energy with cash for the purpose of putting it on the exchange.

That's it.

There has to be a reason for crowns.
There has to be more stuff to do with crowns than you are likely/expected to do. If you are just playing for yourself, you need to not be able to do everything that crowns can do. The only way to do everything that crowns can do would either be grind repetitively, or sell energy for crowns.

Economy is scarcity. No scarcity == no economy.

There has to be crown scarcity or the energy exchange collapses.

YPP has this in blockade costs more than anything else.
What does this game have for crown costs?

Barbed Wire + Piranhas = ?

Wait... barbed wire in the fountains with the piranhas? Jeeze, that's excessive. I would just use sharks with laser beams on their heads.

Actually, this was a good idea

Making visual equips (just make equips that are good to look, and can be equipped in either equip slots), that costs only crowns (no cash shop, please), and some fun itens and decorative guild furniture would increase the demand for crowns. Also,. making spendable itens to go with you in dungeons would really make you need crowns at some levels. (but i don't know how this could be done, unles the small pokeball costs something like 5k a piece or more).

Visual shop

I think a visual shop should be used with energy
That way free players can still sue it, but players who pay can get it easier
Its not a necessity, but itd be cool
This way players who want it right away can pay, and those who can't
Just wait and build up crowns till they can buy up the energy
just another use for crowns and energy to balance the economy
I also put another idea about material crafting in my other topic, New SK vs Old SK
use crowns, and materials, put it, get 10% of what you have, for the next star material relating to what you put in
New idea: gamble option, add in a bunch of random materials, get one rare one, but it would require a lot of materials and crowns

actually, we can do both

If a NPC sell visual itens for crowns, and some for energy, and the better ones for energy and crown, this should be great. Crown players could buy some visua itens to look cool, but energy players could buy the more cool and fancier ones, or aggressive ones, and the better and mor impressive of them would need to both crown and energy players to work for it. Of course, crown players would have a harder time to get them, but they would surelly deserve to wear it when they get ^^.

This thread has it all: Energy complaints, Boswick conspiracy theories, players asking for accessories before they were introduced and players complained about accessories slowing down content development, players asking for crown sinks, players asking for gambling options, and sharks with laser beams on their heads.
