I know what you're thinking.

"oh no nt anothur civ vs levi tread!1!!1!1"

But I'm asking a specific Question.

Now, I've heard that the CIV does less damage than the Leviathan Blade, except with Undead, & it also has Less Knockback.

My question is this: Is the Knockback Useful in Groups or not? Will my teammates be Irritated by the Fact I could be doing more Damage or that I'm Knocking every Enemy in the Room to them?

Should I go for CIV if I'm a Group-Guy?

Or still go for Leviathan?

My question is this: Is the Knockback Useful in Groups or not?
=> No, in most cases, knockback in groups is really annoying, in particular a 360° knockback like Calibur line charge

Will my teammates be Irritated by the Fact I could be doing more Damage or that I'm Knocking every Enemy in the Room to them?
=> More irritated by knockback, the damage difference between the 2 is minimal. It's not like using a toothpick against slimes.

Should I go for CIV if I'm a Group-Guy?
Or still go for Leviathan?
=> Neither, get some specialized swords.

But if it's your only sword, i would still get Leviathan, and just don't use the charge on anything but turrets, or be very careful when using it. Anyway, if you can't land several hit with charge it's not really worth it damage-wise, so really no reason to use it randomly : use it on turrets, frozen mobs and mobs close to a wall. That way no one will get mad, and you'll benefit from more damage. And you retain the high knockback for situations where it can be useful.

I agree with Fradow. You can use Levi/CIV against stationary targets, and against targets trapped in corners. But otherwise the charge attack is really irritating in parties, and the regular attacks are totally unimpressive. Before you invest any further in the Calibur line, you might want to consider getting two swords of differing non-normal damage type. See my sword guide for more background information and practical advice.

Well...

I DO have other Swords:

Blazebrand-Main

Shockburst-Replacement for Fire Themed Levels

Grintovec-Heavy Sword

Sealed Sword-Soon to be Faust

Calibur-Pending

Cutter-Old Weapon; Not going to Upgrade/Probably Sell
(Rest of Swords are 0-1*)

As for a Piercing Sword, I'm waiting to see if there will be a new one. If not, I'll get BTB. The Charge Attack makes me feel a bit more Comfortable.
I was just thinking of making my Calibur into a 5* Weapon, but didn't know if I should Upgrade it or not. Plus, wasn't the Calibur Line Popular?

The calibur line is popular

The calibur line is popular as a jack of all trade sword, meaning you use it if you carry only 1 sword, or for some edge cases (for example, wrecking the mask of Vanaduke, charging on JK, or with freeze). If you have several special damage weapons, there is no reason to use one.

As for your setup :
- the 2 brandish are cool. If they are not at the same star level, you may want to use the higher one even against the wrong status level (you'll just not have the status, but the damage output difference can be significant)
- you should drop the Grintovec. There is no reason to use troika line over sealed sword line. Sealed sword are simply better. And grintovec is normal too (meaning doesn't fit your specialized swords loadout).
- already said, but you shouldn't get Calibur. At least not right now.
- your decision on Cutter is a good one. Normal damage, meaning you don't need it, and it's very hard to use effectively anyway.

You should definitively get a piercing sword. Along with your elemental brandish and faust, you'll then have the 3 damage type, and thus damage bonus against every single enemy. This is what you want as a swordsman. Plus, piercing sword are the single most overpowered swords in the game, due to their normal attack pattern. Too bad you can't use them on both boss strata in T2 because of damage type.

Well...

I'm not actually a Swordsman, I'm a Demolitionist(I like using that instead of Bomber) I just need 1 Sword a Trip. My Loadout's like this:

1-Sword Depending on Level Theme
2.Master Blast Bomb
3.Plasma Capacitor
4.Spike Shower

Mad Bomber Mask(Hidden w/ Cobalt helm)
Mad Bomber Suit(Soon to be Hidden w/ Heavy Demo Suit

Volcanic Plate Shield(Going to get Ironmight for RJP Runs)

Along with those Bombs, I also have Irontech Bomb & Crystal Bomb.

I'll get a Thorn Blade as soon as I can, then.

A calibur line works well for

A calibur line works well for bombers, but the whole mopping up thing falls to your teammates in a party. Or you can get a vortex, drop it, charge a levi, and release into the spinning cloud of enemies.

It doesn't seem like you have bombs that have cc strong enough to land all the levi charge hits though.
