Divine Avenger, does it actually do increased damage to Fiends?
So on the Wiki and in the beta the Divine Avenger was classed as a weapon that does increased damage to Fiends. I thought this applied to the Avenger as well but that did not seem to be the case. Now I have the Divine Avenger and still don't have any note on the sword itself that it does increased damage vs Fiends.
Can anyone with a lvl 10 Divine Avenger confirm that it does in fact do increased damage to fiends? Or is this something that got changed when the game went live? I am just wondering because I had gotten the Divine Avenger in order to deal with Fiends as there is really no comparable sword that does piercing damage. The sword is still amazing and still would do normal damage vs Fiends but I was hoping to turn it into a fiend killer.
Can anyone assist with this info?
That's why I wanted someone with a lvl 10 Divine Avenger to reply. It could be that it is added as an ability at lvl 10. If it doesn't do increased damage to fiends it means from what I can tell that there is no sword that innately does more damage to fiends. This means we'll have to rely solely on a random chance UV in order to get weapons that are more effective against Fiends.
I truly hope that isn't the case.

Rats....I'll have to start fishing for damage vs Fiends UV's then.
It does increased dmg vs fiends. Don't trust the tooltips, lots of stats and effects are missed if you just mouse over the item without looking at your character screen. There are icons for defense in general then all your weapons at the bottom of your character screen that amass all the changes your gear has on items.
Here is a shot of my level 5 (+low charge time) Divine Avenger (with a low vs fiend uv) while wearing 1 piece of Skolver (+med dmg) and 1 piece of Vog (+med atk speed).

I'm glad to see it does in fact to the damage. I'll submit a bug report later regarding the missing tooltip from the sword itself.
The screenshot shows the stacking effect of the UV on Sinnach's Divine Avenger + the Skolver.

It's not the inherent property of the Divine Avenger itself.
Sinnach, you got it all wrong. It does not increase fiend damage. The reason it shows fiend high in that picture is because you're using Skolver and have a low fiend bonus.
The game handles general bonuses and specific ones very weirdly - They technically stack, however cannot exceed the normal maximum. For example, if you have a high fiend bonus and a medium from Skolver, it'd become an Ultra. A very high and one Skolver piece would hit the Maximum. Stacks fine. However if the bonus was Very High, and you used two Skolver pieces (totalling for 8 points of bonuses - maximum is 6), it'd be maximum. Even if you had general damage bonuses, it wouldn't get any stronger than Maximum on fiends. In the screen where it shows the total bonuses, they are separate and will not stack, meaning, in your case, you have a High against fiend and Medium against everything else.

Wouldn't the gran faust be a lot better then against most enemies since it curses and the divine avenger doesn't have any other proc or bonus?
If the sword doesn't say it does increased damage versus fiends, it doesn't.
The wiki is being very slowly updated. Could just be an oversight/something they haven't gotten around to. They have a lot of stuff to change.
