This super annoying freeze has been ruining my FSC gameplay for the last 3 days.

Recently, there has been this incredibly annoying lag/freeze issue every time I go to Firestorm Citadel: Blackstone Bridge.
Every single time I go, it freezes at least once during the very beginning of the level, and it kills me or seriously impedes my progress. This most recent time, I basically started the level, then as soon as I hit the party button, the game froze, and when it came back nearly 20 seconds later, my character is lying dead in a pile of Shadow Fire.
This freezing lag thingy issue I don't even know what to call it is so annoying, and I've rage-quit at least six times because of it already.
Every single time I go down to FSC, I should end up fine, but this stupid lag thing gets me killed. My computer usually doesn't lag on anything like this, but only in this specific level has this occurred over and over and over and over again and I am incredibly angry at it.
Freezing issues and lag combined have turned my Firestorm Citadel experience into the Firestorm Shitadel experience.

Yeah, I have no one else in my party, but I figured it out; every time the music finishes playing, and needs to loop, the game freezes for the song to go around again. It happened to me twice today.

Well talking here won't fix anything. Send a message to Support instead.

Does turning off all the sounds help? Maybe go with some friends and warn them that this might happen, so they can try and save you if they can.

Yeah, I should submit this to support...
Does this problem happen to anyone else? or is it just me?
I played the level with my brother in my group today, and the issue still occurred, so I really don't know what causes it...

Doesn't happen to me. Maybe your SK install is corrupted?

Edit: Nevermind! I didn't read clearly enough.

I used to have those terrible freezes as well in both FSC/Twins levels. Restarting my java by simulating a crash usually fixed the issue:
- Disable your internet connection while in-game.
- Close SK (be sur your internet is off before doing this)
- Turn on the internet connection.
- Launch SK.
Do it fast, and you'll find yourself right where you were before leaving.
Hope it helps.

Try rebooting your cable modem or DSL modem and your router.
Also, check System and Applications logs in Event Viewer for any odd errors.
Killing java.exe to simulate a crash and relaunch the game is more efficient than disconnecting from the internet.
Maybe the friends you join are hosting the run on a different server than you are on?
