I've been joining a lot of ascending parties because they don't want to/can't move on to the next tier lately.
I join parties on tier 2 and a lot of the times, it's just tier 1 people finishing their run and going back to Haven.
I waste 200 crowns getting in (which is a miniscule amount, but it has been absolutely put to no use).
Then I have to spend a bit more time before I find an actual party going down to tier 2.
This has happened to me in tier 3 as well.

My suggestion for this problem:

Separate the areas completely where people are starting a run and people are ending a run.
Don't have them conjoined, like the current configuration.

I think this would also help

I think this would also help so you could leave and essentially start a party if you were displeased with the people.

But it doesn't solve everything, a seperation would be ideal. Maybe something where its like a pseudo Haven. The part before that guy that blocks the way is one area, and the area that contains the hotel would be another area. And they could name the two areas something like:
Moorcraft - Entrance. <--this is the entrance...obviously
Moorcraft - Hotel - Check in, Check Out <--this is the exit

@NegimaSonic Yes, those are

@NegimaSonic
Yes, those are my thoughts exactly.
Then 'Join Party' option would actually let you always join a real party, instead of sending you to people who are done a previous tier.

You can already go off by yourself from the Moorcraft Manor, but the whole point of me joining a party is to play so that I'm not alone.
So self-kicking isn't the issue here, at least for me.

Yeah this is really annoying.

Yeah this is really annoying. I had i happen to me 3 times in a row today and I know 200cr each time is not that much, but the fact that I have to go back up to haven and then back down really bugs me.

So... Signed!

@NegimaSonic

I have found that the ability to self-kick has helped to some extent as the Tier 1's can just go back up to haven, whilst I wait for others to join my party (which is what I did after the 3rd time). But I would prefer the solution the OP suggested.

Start from T1 and work your way down to the spiral warden so you don't have to pay 200 crowns. Then it's free, you are only charged if you use an elevator on subtown levels. Getting put into a T1 run that is ending is a good indication that no one is doing T2 runs or if they are they certainly don't want you to join. Take a small break and try again or go to another gate.

Just a note...my post was before they implemented the idea lol...now its irrelevant >.>

But yes, if you have the time, doing what Ezzi suggested would make your problems lessened for a week. But I am still in favor of the original suggestion

I Agree with the suggestion

I have to agree with this idea. i was faced with this problem my self, i being the one that could not move on to the next tier. For those who have played with me, wanting to move on, im sorry, hehe. i thought about something in the same line. there should be a another level (moor-craft hotel) before reaching the guards inspection. i felt kind of bad today because of this situation. There was a player who complained about wasting his/her CE on myself or another player, i saw the "JOIN" and clicked it, but wasnt really sure where i was headed. Wiether getting acces to the tier 2 with the other players or all of us repeating or starting a tier 1 level. it was all kinda confusing..
