I will be running a thread I came up with designed to reward the gentleman and women of the spiral knights world. This thread will be giving out recognition to players throughout spiral knights i think deserve to be spotlighted(Note that no actual light will be used).

How you can be spotlighted
1. Outstanding play in lockdown( Focus on that DAMAGE)
2. Coming up with a fresh new look(SWAG)
3. Generosity/Advice(Be nice to those proto noobs)
4. Developing interesting topics for forums(contests and discussion of the sort)
5. Sometimes just your personality and humor(No mom jokes and def NO ARROW TO THE KNEE JOKES)

Note there are other factors that will also get you spotlighted the 5 above being the major ones.

Be extra friendly to any proto players you see as it just might be me. Every month i will pick a guy or girl to be spotlighted and that person will be rewarded a total of 500ce from me personally. Just for being the everyday you. This thread main purpose is to reward the outstanding members of the SK community and give them some well deserve praise.

*As of this time no player has been selected for the spotlight. We will name our first Player in the coming weeks please check daily to see if you were spotlighted. When i announce a player the thread will look like so (Player's name-Player Spotlight)

What's otherwise a nice

What's otherwise a nice sentiment is kinda skewed by the fact that these "spotlighted" people will only ever be people that you know, or on the forums, or that you happen to see, in Haven primarily and in your timezone. You're not going to be able to fairly judge an absolutely massive portion of the playerbase.

I mean, the freshest looking, most loving and generous player in the game could have an amazing attitude...but only log when you're asleep, and jump straight into the CWs to help people; you would never ever see the guy.
Or there could be the best PvPr in the game, who joins in LD matches in the IP zone that you're not in, meaning you'd never see him either, unless he posted screenies or people talk about him on the forums regularly, which isn't always the case, *especially* for the EU players.

And ofc, a lot of the people who give out particularly generous handfuls tend to (want to) remain fairly anonymous, due to wanting to avoid beggar-spam if their names are revealed.

Nice, caring idea, doomed to have horrible execution though.

All about the in-game appearance for me

I love personal style and unique!

1. Rommil/Sluggil: this guy knows how to rock some looks all his own. Throw away your cookie cutter, not needed here. Rommil plz post screenshots!!
2. Vawdrey: Hey, i'm a sucker for quicksilver helms lol. Some nice work with same plate style armor and mecha wings. Also has some other outfits that don't disappoint.
3. Salazaar: Hasn't played in a while, but was one of the 1st people to use mass accessories without just looking tacky.
4. Hadn: It's hard to go wrong with a shockhead mask, and hadn didn't go wrong. Also, another of my fellow chums who rocks looks all his own...sometimes (um, u completely ripped trojan mask + ancient armor AFTER i told u it was my next costume, lame and double lame).

Final verdict: Ya gotta go peep rommil and sluggil. Elite costume work.

Oh! Also just realised that "pvp damage" is kinda unfair, 'cuz that's only rewarding (typically) strikers, or swordy-recons. There are plenty of guardians/recons who get little damage and few/no caps, yet remain extraordinarily useful to their teams. I accept that this is harder to quantify and judge than "consistent high damage", but then again, so is "looks good" or "has a good attitude".

I do vote GM of Coup. Icycloud . He offered me good advises on a sword recon in LD patiently . I believe icy is a decent recon in LD . Didn't put too much air on me when I wore proton gear talking to him.

I was playing in LD against him and a few other people, and when my entire team quit, he called for his team to not attack me. It was a really nice gesture, and was much appreciated, especially considering the circumstances.

@Darkbrady To answer some of your concerns its not about picking the absolute very best every time I am simply gonna pick players that deserve to get a pat on the back. To be truthful it will be hard cause there are players I don't see and I probably wont be playing with everyone who plays lockdown. That being said I will take nominations because of that fact(please mail me your stories) but the final decision will be rested solely on my shoulders as it is my ce I am giving away. All evaluations will be made on my alt(besides lockdown) so don't worry about it being solely people i know. As for lockdown I joked about damage of course i will be looking at all stats not just damaged as you can't win without capturing.
