Just a thought... Instead of releasing the patches at random times from patch to patch, sync up the patch release to coincide with the daily reboot. The reboot is on a schedule and can be turned off for a day so there aren't two reboots back-to-back. This way we, as your customer, are not inconvenienced by a random reboot in the middle of the day. Sure we get a 90 minute warning when patches are released, but people still get caught. There have been times when I have 60 minutes to play and I log in to see a reboot scheduled for 37 minutes from now. That stinks!
Let me say that I work in IT and do have to test production releases, most of the time at midnight on a Friday or Saturday, so preparing and releasing a patch at 5:00 am Pacific Time should not be such a big deal. Or change the daily reboot to something more convenient to OOO employees so they don't have to do maintenance at an odd hour.
I reckon they probably would do that, but considering we only get patch updates ...what weekly, or less? That it's never really an issue..especially since the patches are generally very quick.
