Trojan appearance

The official description of the Trojans says that they are made from Knights who got lost in the Clockworks and never returned.

However, whereas player Knights come in a variety of colors the Trojans only come in... 3 colorschemes, and they're Tiered versions of the Trojan so that's 1 colorscheme per Tier.

I think that the Trojans in Tier 1 and Tier 2 should be changed aesthetically to reflect the fact that they are corrupted Knights. The Tier 3 Knightmares can remain the same (presumably since the closer they are to the Core the stronger and more drastic the "corruption" that made them into Trojans is, thus making their appearance converge to the same standard).

I propose that they should either come in the color schemes that accessories are available in (minus Divine and Volcanic of course), or should have the same colors as Players.

I would also like the emblems on the shields to be randomized as well. Perhaps they can match the Gate symbols...

Or perhaps all the levels that can have Trojans spawn in them can get a Trojan coloration that matches the ambience of the surroundings (suggesting a connect between the Knight and the place they went missing before becoming a Trojan) whilst maintaining the appropriate physical/attacking characteristics that a Trojan should have at that depth (meaning the fighting's the same).

Spiral

Imagine a T1 Trojan wearing the beginning stuff, like Spiral Pith Helm or even Spiral Tailed Helm. XD

Hm..

I had said they should have different colors, not that they should be wearing something that's a ditto of what players wear... But that's probably too amusing for me to not consider

But then...

Well, maybe all the beautiful colors have faded once they're corrupted...

AND monsters get stronger as you progress down the depths!

So in T3, MAXIMUM corruption, leading to a uniform sort of appearance.

maybe they ALL got to the core (or beyond) and have been sent back to guard the lower tiers?

@Melisan

Only the lack of specifics on where or how the Knights were when they got lost and how they became Trojans makes that even remotely likely.

The only people to ever go beyond the Core, according to the game's lore, are the Alpha Team, and they didn't have as many members as there are Trojans in game.

There are a number of Knights currently stationed near the Core, and none of them seem to worry about Trojans, nor is it possible to encounter any there.

Why not expanding the idea to other monsters? idk like gremlins with different skin color, colored silkwings, jellies that have stuff inside (royal jelly with a knight trapped inside it XD), lichen with different cores, more patterns on greavers, rusted versions of all robots, etc.

Multicolor Gremlins! Gosh, I

Multicolor Gremlins!

Gosh, I should have thought of that. You can pretty much tell what tier they are from relative size and the equipment/armor they're wearing alone, making them all different colors in the same tier wouldn't hurt that at all.

Tier 1 will have tiny many colored Gremlins it will be too cute sadfwerqwefsafddsfw

I think the Spookat family is a pretty good example of recoloring and retexturing based on tier and stratum, and can't help but feel as though over time this will be applied to more monsters anyway, the devs just need to get around to actually doing it.

I certainly hope so, Vivix!

I certainly hope so, Vivix!

Also footnote: in the wild most animals of the same species end up having the same appearance. When "domesticated" they start getting variants and stuff. So presumably Wolvers and Chromas can get away with all looking alike.
