I so happened to beat the jelly king, when I so happened to receive the armor drop of a Ash Tail Coat. After several seconds of being completely stunned and overjoyed... I now face a new predicament. What do I do with it? O.O I'm not rich enough to craft it into a 5 star armor, I really don't need the freeze resist plus, and honestly, I dunno if I need it at all... But I'm not sure if I want to sell it either... So any suggestions? Its been sitting unbound in my inventory for a week now....

Well, if you're a sword user, keep it.
You could sell it to get some extra money so you can be rich enough to craft something; in the end, do whatever you think is best for you.

As well as not needing it to be 5* to be useful...why do you only specify Freeze resist? If you ever plan on Swordying in FSC, Vog Cub is the most popular choice to do so, and that's the alternate ash tail alchemy line, other than Skolver.

wow! the highest I've seen is 3* items (I got a brute jelly shield that I sold for 8.5kcr).
If someone were to craft that themselves from scratch it would cost 18.9kcr + 650 energy or ~62kcr. I bet you can easily get 500CE for it, which would be ~32.5kcr.

Nordlead - given that 4* stuff sells for ~200kCR in the AH, I'd go FAR above 32.5kCR as a price.

A good find
Yeah, an unbound 4* item is a good find, especially that one, since it's pretty much the most popular alchemy line in the game.
If you're ever planning to make a vog/skolver coat, you should keep it--they're both good. If you're not really sure or just want some cash to help you get up to 3* or whatever, sell it. An unbound Ashtail should sell quickly and for a good price (see above--I'd start around 150-200kcr) and would be a nice leg up on your next level of gear.
If you're a swordy (or any intention of using swords fairly heavily) ,keep it. Will save you heating up a 3* one, and buying the previous ones etc. Will just let you skip a few steps, and the crafting costs assosciated with them when you eventually do get around to 5*ing it, when you'll be able to afford it. Just because you can't afford it now doesn't mean you won't be able to soon enough.
If you're not a swordy though, sell that thang. A cheap 4* popular swordy suit would sell fast on the AH, as everyone else wants to skip the process leading up to 4* as well.
Or donate it to a friend/guildy who's into swords, ofc.
