Not sure if Imma stick around long, I don't like the idea of CS funds being freely tradeable in game, screws the game hard for new players especally. Even worse is crafting requires it. I'd rather some traditional CS items and remove all the energy costs in game. Alot of people in town aren't even accepting crowns for gear, CN only, which is what I was worried about.
Don't know if imma play long, WAY to CS based.
Notice that he started playing the game today.
thats fine, but two different wrong abbreviations? silly!
The only problem anyone should really have with energy is how much you need of it to craft.
Oh boy, another energy thread.
If you don't like the system, quit the game. They're not going to change it over a non-paying-customer.
well, they should at least play for more than one day before starting to complain about the mechanics
I'm pretty sure OP is using CS to mean Cash Shop.
I've never seen CN used to stand for crystal energy, though. I, like most other players, use ce. Perhaps it comes from Crystal eNergy?
Ran out of energy after a few floors. Think i'll pass on this game. When you run out of daily energy in about an hour and it takes 22 hours to regen.. well no thanks. Would have to spend way to much RL cash to get anywhere anytime soon I think. I'd rather just play a p2p mmorpg. I got no issues with spending money when the value is good. But with all the RL cash sinks this game has, I don't think its worth the time when you consider the gameplay it has. How long would 10 US in CE last anyway? This game is one of those horrible pay to win titles, Either ya shell out a ton of RL cash or you can't get anywhere, anytime soon. Games like these in the f2p market make me sick.
Anyway have fun all. I'm probally uninstalling since I don't feel like wasting a ton of RL cash on this game to get anywhere, got better games in the f2p market I could spend in. Might try the game again in a day or so. To see if I change my mind, but I doubt I will.
Maybe you should learn how the game works before uninstalling it. Pretty much every sentence you posted was false.
Dunno it looks this way to me. Least from a new player perspective. Total playtime was 2 hours so far, but, a good chunk of that was reading a bit on the wiki. Only made about 1k killing mobs, Mats to npc's sells for nothing, So I kept them, Is there some kinda of place u can sell materials from while your dungeon running? Other than sitting in town shouting? I'm kinda tired atm so I'll try the game again when I wake up, but the initial experence with the energy leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth for a new comer, least for me it did. On a side note, I did my first craft thing, made a 1 star unique variant of a sword that does Physical and elemental dmg, as well, as can burn the enemy, and has a small dmg bonus vs constucts.
See you need to learn a lot more about how to get on in the game before you can pass judgement. I don't blame you for that though, you just started.
Its a game that you play over time, possibly slowly (especially if you don't want to pay any real-life money). But its up to you whether you play in bursts or not. Your ability to play more each day will grow over time, but there are some initial growing pains. The forum does a better job of explaining this than the wiki or the game itself. Maybe that is something that can be addressed to help newcomers in the future.
Point is, if you can't deal with only playing a few hours a day, its not for you. If you can put up with that for the time being, you can get more out of it later on. If you spend CE wisely (and abide by those time restrictions the game is placing on you), that $10 can last a long time. But if you want to dungeon dive for 24 hours straight, you can probably kiss it goodbye. (although thats not even true because if you make enough money, you can recoup the spent CE..)
Give it a fair chance, homie. Read some other threads on this forum from people who waited a few more days than you to start complaining. You might come around.
Oh boy, another player lost! I gotta admit, joining the game now a days isn't too new-user friendly anymore. Good thing I joined as as soon as it came out, or I would be thinking the same thing like this guy. :P
... =/
But seriously 3-Rings, that is another disappointed player that is telling 10 other people (maybe more) how bad your game is when really it is not! Do something or your game would possibly be doomed if it gets all these horrible reviews from new players! Only the old players are enjoying this game, because we manage to get through it before the whole energy market problem started happening!
Come on 3-Rings! Take action now! Review your sociology and marketing college notes! Possibly you could manipulate our minds and make us (and new players) happy for your game somehow! =D
...and yo peeps! Don't blame and point fingers at the new player, just because he didn't "explore" the game enough to understand its "new ways" of the F2P game, anyone, including you will say the same thing if you joined later too. If the game wasn't player-friendly enough, then it isn't the newcomer's fault...it is uhm... yeah fault. =(
...within 2 hours of starting this game, I was making enough crowns on a ~60 energy T1 run to buy 100 energy. I'm not a good player, I didn't have anyone helping me out, and I don't sell mats. Prices have risen since then, but it would be a roughly ~70 energy run by comparison. Once I hit T2, I started making substantially more, and that's even considering the fact that I buy waaaaaaaaaaay more items and recipes than I need to progress.
Thats good to know have fun in life and enjoy other online games.
What really? You got way more crowns in tier 2?! Lucky! Because whenever I get to tier 2, I start off with noob money in the beginning teir 2 depths as if I was playing in beginning tier 1 depths.
Are you sure you could get more crowns in tier 2? Because at the end, I find it to be roughly around the same amount of crowns I earned from completing tier 1. ?=(
...but I won't discount that as a possibility. The returns were similar in the beginning, but they definitely seem to be increasing faster than the price of energy is.
I get way more crowns in Tier2 than Tier1. >.> It does start off slowly, though, but once you pass the recipe vendor, you can usually nearly double what you made.
Also, perhaps the OP is unaware of the market to purchase CE for crowns? And as far as a place goes for selling mats without sitting and shouting in towns, they have a forum dedicated to that, called the "Bazaar." You could essentially set up a "shop" there for people to purchase your mats.
And $10 should last a pretty good while. My boyfriend and I (I really feel like I bring him up too much in forums, lol) spent $10 and split the CE, and we've yet to hit 0. And, as unhealthy as it is (and as much as I'm ashamed of it), we actually sat down and went dungeon diving for more or less 24 straight hours one day. >.> And we still have about 800 CE each. Granted, we have been purchasing energy with our crowns, as well, but that just proves that it's a pretty self-sustaining system. But yeh, we purchased the 3500 CE the day after we started playing, so it's been about 10 days, and we're not at all hurting for CE. We're finally Tier3 ready, too. So we have been crafting, as well as dungeoneering, lol. I can only imagine that if you didn't split the $10 with someone, it would be able to last you at least twice as long, as long as you learn how to maximize your profits.
Quite frankly, at this point, I don't think I'll have to spend any more real money on this game, as it's gotten to the point where I can efficiently do runs and pay for CE using crowns. That doesn't mean I'm not going to, though, because why not? I think that supporting this game is worth it, and I can only hope that my "donations" will allow this game to really blossom.
Edit: I'm not trying to persuade you one way or the other, but I am trying to give you more facts based on my own personal experiences so you don't just disregard the game entirely before knowing very much about it. Because really, at the end of the day, if you don't like the game, you don't like it.
Yah if you drop 10$ on the game or were here RIGHT after the game launched your def going to have enough energy to do things. But most of the ones complaining aren't. I complain on behalf of the newbies. I'm sitting on about 7000crowns and 800ish CE still I'd like to hit the 2000 mark just to be safe.
I'm just not and can't afford to drop $10 on it.
I am one of the newbies, and I don't complain. Seriously, the CE is quite affordable as long as you play in moderation - which is probably a good idea anyway.
That's mostly for high level gear. If someone is getting paid the equivalent of 6,000 CE for a piece of gear then it's a lot simpler for everyone involved to simply pay in CE rather than convert it to a huge number of crowns and back again. Keep in mind that you lose 2% of the value with each transaction. Since people in 5* gear probably don't need cash to buy recipes anymore, but do need CE to keep crafting and going on runs it's cleaner to just keep the currency in CE at that point.
I've never seen anyone demand CE for 1-3* gear. Heck, I see most people crafting that stuff for free if you provide the mats (myself included). If you have full 3* gear and are having problems acquiring CE, that's really on you. A single T2 run generates more than enough crowns to buy about twice the CE you spent on the run even at the current prices and that's without selling materials.
