Wierd...somebody has to have brought this up by now but I cant seem to find it.

Anyways, players and enemies in Lockdown are temporarily immune after taking damage. In other words, if a your weapon is too fast, or if somebody hit the enemy right before you attack, you will do no or little damage.

This makes some weapons completely unusable. And one of the main complaints about Lockdown is that it is unbalanced and has very little variation.

I believe that temporary immunity should be removed from Lockdown.

Weapons that would be "unleashed":
Autogun line Although some people believe that this gun might be overpowered, I believe that its lag between click and actual shots, no movement
while shooting, and reload time would balance out this gun. It would be dangerous both to the enemy and the user.

Antigua line Currently, people using this gun have to "stagger" its shots to get the most of its DPS. If the limiter is removed, this gun might become
pretty strong.

Cutter/winmillion will become usable, but its damage might still be a bit low.

Is this a good idea? Or would gunners suddenly become too overpowered?

Overpowered gunners? PPFFF

Overpowered gunners? PPFFF Yeah, right.
You won't get a balanced lockdown by removing something as simple as that immunity you're talking about.
Lockdown needs an entire reformulation on its system or at least a huge number of nerfs to be close to balanced.
No, this isn't a good idea at all, because this wouldn't help in anything making LD balanced.

'Invulnerable' players also have their actions interrupted

When a player gets hit, it's not like they're invulnerable AND they get to hit you back.
They've also had their attack halted. Changing this would just lead to HEAPS MORE frustration.

As for Autoguns and gunners in general: That's a whole other discussion on its own. Long before PvP, in the olden times of PvE...
I always thought autoguns needed the ability to roate while the user shoots. Now I only see more reason to allow it.

Those invulnerability frames

Those invulnerability frames keep you alive when three toothpicks hit you at once... don't tell me that's never happened to you. If the frames were removed, I can imagine roaming bands of strikers collectively one-hitting any poor fool they find, then dashing away and doing it again. No thanks.

Amusingly, Guardians can abuse this by hanging around in the non-damaging part of a haze bomb with their shield up. It does no damage, but registers a hit, triggering an invulnerability frame... and as soon as the frame ends, they get "hit" again by the bomb, triggering another. They're effectively invincible while they're covered.

The invulnerability window is

The invulnerability window is so tiny it's barely noticeable when your killing someone.
