So, after reading up on this issue of mine (game starting, and then doing nothing/exiting), i've decided to look @ something someone said, to check:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/javasoft/Pref/Projectx, then to change files...
Well, i've downloaded java 3 times now...and it has yet to give me a projectX file. I had this same issue on my old computer, but when i downloaded visual C++ it, for whatever reason, gave me the ProjectX file? Now i have java, and C++ again, but no projectx.....any1 wanna lend a hand? :D

nevermind- i've fixed
nevermind- i've fixed it...apparently it was all steam, they had some lame bug with the community in-game not working....so i disabled it and did some crap, that seemed to work..
yeah, i've tried reinstallng/repairing both C++, and java, nothing has worked...soooo......help? its been over a week now >_>
