Ok this game is called *Gladiator*

You sign up for this at main menu of King Krogmos Colloseum. Instead of killing other players you kill monsters. You dont get any pills or extra health. Monsters in your tier rush out in waves, and last one surviving wins. No reviving or anything. After you die you can choose to leave or just use spectator view. This game will most likely be a huge hit for all Spiral Knights. It might be more popular than Lockdown and it will be fun for everyone. Oh and you cant attack other players. Just killing monsters

What do you guys think? What would you add? =D

How much is it to play? Normal 200cr like other coliseum games?
And what is the reward?

Uhm

I think it will be the same as other Krogmo games, depends on admins. reward will be Krogmo coins unless you bribe the King for something special

What about crown rewards?

In other games, you get +280 Crowns for being on the winning team, and +580(?) for being the winner. I'd assume this would be the same?

Couple questions...

1) How many waves would there be? Would it be unlimited until all but one person was alive?

2) You said "No pills or extra health", which to me means "No Health Capsules or Vitapods", but do enemies drop hearts occasionally?

3) How would you avoid one person camping in a corner, waiting for everyone else to fight all the enemies off, and die? If everyone camped then they'd pretty much all die, but if only one person did, he'd likely win.

4) Does everyone have the *same* health? As I have said before, "Extra health" means "Vitapods" to me, but your gear has Health Bonuses in itself. Would these apply to Gladiator?

5) Would vials drop (Based on tier) in the dungeon? Not capsules, I mean Curse/Fire/Shock/etc. Vials.

I think these should be clarified.

Yes winner gets 580 crowns, I think waves would be about 10? if there is 2 people remaining money is split like 280 each then. I think there would be a vitapod special for evryone so they have 20 hp max. then there will be. No hearts drop. yes for the vials. Campers... oh ok i see. there will be rooms of equal size seperated by walls. evryone has their own waves. and whoever makes it to most waves without dieing wins. so u cant camp. I think this sounds ok but tell me ur opinion.

Right.

1) 10? Hmm hehhh eeeee errr yeah that might work. Maybe it could depend on Tier as well.

2) How would the game know how much HP you have? Different armor has different health bonuses, if it dropped, for example, a 10 Vitapod, then some people would have more health than others. I don't see anything wrong with that, but if you wanted everyone to have equal health, then that won't work very well.

3) Segregate the Gladiators. Works fine.

Oh and,

SUGGESTIONS

-There should be a boss on wave 10.
-The difficulty SHOULD depend on your tier.
-You get a bonus 500 CROWNS if you win at wave 10
-Players get to vote which monsters should come out
-Maybe there should be an armor/sword/shield/helmet that you put on when you play, so your defences are equal? But the defenses/attack should rise depending on your tier.
-You should earn 1 token for every monster you beat, which you can use to get better swords/defenses for the next waves. (Wears off when you stop playing)

Maybe Evryone could be in

Maybe Evryone could be in seperate arenas so that friends can't team up and take out the same monsters.

That's in random play. In

That's in random play. In team play it could be two teams of 4 in seperate rooms fighting to last the longest. That would be fairly wicked, like a Krogmo version of an Arena.

Separating Players

Personally, I think it would be more fun with all four knights together in the same arena. It's much easier to kite enemies however you want them while playing solo; you'll get much more hectic gameplay with everyone together. You can deliberately sabotage "teammates" by shield bumping or Calibur charging attacking enemies into them, and other similar strategies.

As for the issue of camping... there is no such thing in King Krogmo's Coliseum. What happens if a knight mills about in Blast Network or Lockdown? Right - no Krogmo Coins, no crowns, nothing. The same could be applied here - if you don't fight, you don't win. And if anything, a "temmate" can just lure or knock enemies over to the camping knight. You know those times in the third room of an Arena where one idiot is leading the Mecha Knights in a direction opposite to that of the rest of the party? Do that to the camper.

I can see it now... four Nitronomes.

@Kupoo

Excellent. I lol'd at the "Do that to the camper" bit.
The effort you put in could be determined by the proportion of enemies you defeat. If you defeat an absolutely dismal amount of enemies (say %3-5 of all enemies that were killed) then you miss out.

But I still think that team-play should be a team of 4 players doing an arena together as a team with the other team in another room. Or at least 4 players in the same room but 2v2.

Or perhaps...

Rather than having it be last one standing, it should be who kills the most. This would-
-Discourage spawn campers (because hunting enemies would be more effective)
-Allow for revives, to match the balanced pricing of the other modes
-Lengthen games to prevent players farming it (lockdown games = 5 minutes, this = 1? Buying krogmo coins faster much?)
-Prevent people from getting bored watching 2 people duke it out with their OP weapons/armor, while the rest are all dead.

All in all, a marvelous idea.

Hmm... Last Man Standing

Hmm...

Last Man Standing could be the winner. Or, whomever has done the most damage to enemies at the end of a time limit, rather than kills (opens up bombing as a good playstyle here- unfortunately, this leaves gunners out in the cold, for the most part)

Players can get individual rewards (extra ones!) by surviving past a certain time, or doing a certain amount of damage! If you actively play, you get more rewards!

Last Man Standing

The rewards system could fall like this in the Coliseum:
Be last man get 2 tokens and a reward similar to blast network style (1st and 2nd get crown rewards)
Last ones through all 10 rounds get 2 tokens and reward is split accordingly (no favorites just a straight split (if you all survive then whole team gets 280 coins))
For absolute health and armor fairness, armor would be replaced with a set group of armor/stats for LMS

Buffs could fall like Blast Network (by that I mean they either have spawn points or randomly appear):
Extra movement speed (Max of 5) <--- not an ASI
Extra shield health (Max of 5)
Possibly special classes similar to LD?

Time limit(?): 5 mins. give or take. (First deaths would likely be about 2 min or so in unless the team has conspirators)

Round 5 gives enemies where 20% will drop a heal (T1 gets 1-2 hearts, T2 gets 3-5 hearts, T3 gets 7-9(?))
Round 10 doubles the enemy count or drops 'mini boss' stratum

5 enemies/player/round?

Pts are made for every round survived, round 10 gives double or 1.5xnormal for the leaderboards?

How you guys feel about this stuff? I think this would be a fair setup I'd play.

Also I agree that players should be able to vote on monsters seen in the arena.

Edit: I think having any manner of damage system would cause players too much grief. There are ways around it.

Clockworks = PvE Coliseum =

Clockworks = PvE
Coliseum = PvP
There is no point on having a pure PvE game for coliseum.
Plus, this isn't very... You know... Original. Did you think of this by yourself?
I can just go to any arena with friends and tell them to not revive or heal.
