I've been playing for a few hours here and there. I had to stop and close the game to do other things a few times, and I've noticed that I can return to what I was doing when I quit. I keep going back to the beginning.
Is that supposed to happen or is there a way to resume at the depth I was at when I quit?
If you leave for an extend amount of time, you will leave your dungeon. If you get disconnected let's say, via a power surge, and are able to come back relatively fast, then you can continue where you left off.
To "continue", you have to unlock tier access which can be obtained at floors 8 and 18, by having the proper gear. The Spiral Warden NPC there tells you what you need.
