So firebreak equipment, which is described as upgraded emberbreak equipment, is a two star item, two star recipe, that requires a three-star drop, and no emberbreak equipment.

How about allowing either a base item or the rare drop?
Right now, by the time I can get that three star drop, the two star equipment will either be obsolete, or purchased pre-made. And yes, in this preview, the equipment will be available for the asking if I find someone with tons of it, but that's not going to be the norm later.

Firebreak, in my opinion, is never obsolete. I'm still wearing two pieces of it, despite having 4 star replacements for them, simply because of how effective they are.
