I just want to know if it's going to be worth dragging around a 1* Item during a T2 Trip to Heat it Up only to find out that it didn't Improve.

Everything stays as it is, it's just when you view your murderers "current weapon" it seems to show them all at +1 for the same purposes as when someone has their full inspect locked and you only see what's actually visible and all at +1.
