- guns do very inconsequential damage compared to a Skolver wielding a Final Flourish
- if gunning through barriers wasn't possible, people would spawncamp with Final Flourish and Shivermist Buster/Voltaic Tempest
If they're forced to gun at you from back there the whole game, your team is probably rolling them already...
Last stand effect? Gives the camped team a way to break the blockade, minus everyone going strike/recon and getting out.
