The Volcanic plate with a Fire or Stun UV
The Royal jelly with a Stun Uv (Because it totally doesn't have anything else.)
The Heater shield with a Freeze UV
The Owlite Shield with a Shock of Fire UV

Do these have any purpose? I've been told from some yes, and others no. I really want an valid answer on this.

(Unsure if this is the right spot to post this, but seeing how this place talks about weapons and armors I thought yes.)

Do you have any information to back this up?

Because, as stated before, I was told things like traps and the like are able to be blocked more with shields with max element with a uv on it.

Such as Rhom twins trap and grey owlite with shock
Or Vanaduke shadowfire with uv On fire on a Volcanic plate.

If you can figure out whether

If you can figure out whether your armour has maxed stats in fire/whatever you are checking, you should be able to find out how high the armour currently is. Med, high, vh, the such. And from that you can figure out how much the uv is adding, and going over if it is.

Tested on ATH's fire trap, a clean Owlite Shield vs Max Fire Owlite Shield, both broke in same amount of hits, with the same colour each hit.

Ath is... like a higher tier

Ath is... like a higher tier than T1. Notice how the spikes do normal damage, along with everything but the fire pot. And maybe not even that.

Then go ahead and try a 5*

Then go ahead and try a 5* shield without some resistance on that kind of resistance traps then come back here.

well

I have tested my wise owlite(UV normal med) and another guy's wise owlite(no UV), both lvl 10, on the training hall traps/spikes and they break and the same time lol

Im not sure if it affects Clockwork traps/spikes cause training hall fire doesnt do the normal amount of damage that its suppose to, and the time is ALOT less too so Im pretty sure its not an accurate measure of the real thing down in the clockworks.

but you shouldnt be standing for a long time on traps/spikes, or standing on them in the first place.

Against monster attacks that deal stat effects(like slag breath, vana mace, trojan smash, etc) it does seem to help a bit(except slag breath cause thats pure fire and even with no UV, it deals no dmg to my owlite or CoA)

You'd need to test it on

You'd need to test it on effects that ONLY do status effects (ex. skeleton breath) to determine if more status resist on a shield is better or not.
The shield is breaking because of the damage caused by the trap.

ya

thats what i said

with just the fire res offered on owlite and CoA, the shield never take any dmg, even if there are 5 slags breathing on you
