Been searching the forums and I can't seem to find an answer, so I figured I'd post a new topic.

Essentially what the title says - just got into tier 3, so I'm trying to decide between doing Royal Jelly Palace (which, I suppose, would imply full T2 runs on the Royal Jelly gate, not just stratum 4) and runs on stratum 5 up to depth 13. I'm not really skilled enough to do stratum 6 runs yet, let alone FSC (which I've heard is the most lucrative), so... yes. Which one's more profitable? I've heard you should always go for the latter stratum in a tier, but I wasn't sure if the fact that stratum 5 is a higher tier would counterbalance that.

Well, I would think RJP would offer better crowns. This is how that works. Odd number tiers reward you with visiting Basil.
Even number tiers net more vastly larger amounts of money, and in a lot of cases, boss tokens.
EDIT: Oh and by the way congrats on T3.

Odd-numbered stratums don't

Odd-numbered stratums don't give many crowns. You'll typically only make ~2k from depth 19 to 22. However, buying high-demand 5* recipes at the terminal can sometimes net you a profit of 3-5k - though if you aren't going to be running Stratum 6, you'll make more consistent money just running RJP or a gate with 2+ Stratum 4 Arenas.

If you jump into an RJP party

If you jump into an RJP party reasonably close to T2 basil you'll have enough mist to go through S5 and reach T3 basil. This will net you more crowns than doing an S3-S4 RJP run.

Full T2 will be a much bigger

Full T2 will be a much bigger profit than any stratum 5 twice out there (at least for now). Currently there are 2 arenas, and possibly a graveyard in the RJP run and that is a lot of cr to be earned for a T2 run. Stratum 5 pays out only slightly better than stratum 3 in most situations. In my run today I had 10700 cr when I started the first arena, and ended with 8kcr after purchasing 8k worth of recipes. So, I made 6kcr over 2 arenas and the RJP. I don't remember what I started the run with so I don't know what my total T2 run brought in.

As Nicoya pointed out, if you can jump down to a lower level in T2 you'll make even more crowns.

Dont just stay in T2 for profit. Go to T3 sometimes so you get used to it.
Sure you'll upgrade your gear faster but killing slimes wont make you the most skilled player.
