Well, we know by now of the special Sonic CD promo, as OOO is now with SEGA. But there is another game OOO is working on...

As I don't look much this forum outside General/Arsenal/Suggestions and I only knew of Puzzle Pirates as "the other OOO game", I didn't know that OOO also started since a while ago another online puzzle game, Doctor Who: Worlds in Time. I got to know that it existed because of a Blistered Thumbs show, MMO Grinder, which recently made a video about it: http://mmogrinder.net/2012/01/19/doctor-who-worlds-in-time-episode-13/ (I don't know if it may be spam, but taking into account that it is another OOO game... )

So, now I know that OOO is divided into working into 2 (well, 3 with Puzzle Pirates?) games, which may explain the slow updates in the game. Still, I wonder, may we see any Doctor Who related content in the game? For example, a Sonic Screwdriver (sp?) weapon/weapon reskin?

Also, obligatory link to the game: www.doctorwhowit.com

Unless you work for OOO, I would say not.
You seem to be the one doing the advertising for other games, which by the way, is expressly against the forum rules.

Having a look at OOO's other games shows that there traditionally isn't any cross over promotions within their own games.

Nick's already said this before, but there's different teams at OOO working on different projects. The Who project was announced almost a year ago, when SK was still in Preview. Its progress doesn't impact development on this game.

(side note: if a patch a week is slow I'd hate to see the service interruptions generated by a fast schedule)

They did a Sonic promo

They did a Sonic promo because the Sonic fanbase generally spends money first and thinks of the consequences later. How else can you explain why the series is still allowed to exist after a decade of total mediocrity?

Oh

@Dogrock: Thanks for the quick answer! So it is been a year since that game began development? Wow, I am under such a rock then, haha. And then, there is different groups for both games? Then you leave me even more relieved.

Also I considered "slow" a patch a week because they tend to be bugfixes, but yeah, OOO of course hasn't left this game, if not we wouldn't have this. Sorry if I sounded a bit selfish.

@Debianlinux: Yeah, it may be against the rules, but it is another OOO game. If there is any problem, well, close the topic and sorry, I didn't mean to do anything "bad" by doing this.

By the way, I don't know if we should suggest to the MMO Grinder guy to do this game a review. I mean, OOO/SEGA could use the advertisement, and that Chaos guy every review I saw him doing he went very in depth with the games he did, so we wouldn't get a "oh it uses energy you cant play this". Now that he got to play one of OOO's games he may find it more attractive to play this.

Apologies if I came across a

Apologies if I came across a bit rigid.

I took the thread as though it were an implication or even allegation that OOO would abuse these forums through cross promotion. Additionally, it appeared to be a sort of psyop to accomplish just that.

I'm not the forum police, I can't close threads nor would I. I'm just skeptical and jaded.

No-Thanks
Zelda

i dont see any rule like that in the forum rule sticky

the worst violation i could find would be a wrong section, because this has little to do with spiral knights

mind to clarify and quote corresponding rules?
