^Title. Is the DB med of Dusker worth overlooking jelly sets for?
What's the best T2 heavy sword? Is Sealed faster than Kamarin?

Though I'm not necessarily looking for hipster responses.

Elemental hood and Dusker coat will be a fantastic combo protecting from many of the most annoying statuses that lockdown players can throw at you. It also protects against piercing (for toothpicks) and elemental (brandishes). Weapons you should think of getting a toothpick (piercing weapon i.e Twisted Snarble Barb or Swift Flourish) and a long-ish range utility gun, Antigua or Kilowatt Pulsar. This gear also extends into extremely useful 5 star versions, that can be used for PvE.
And answering your question about heavy swords, don't use them in Lockdown. They are pretty much useless unless you have a high ASI because Striker toothpicks can just dart around you picking at you just when your geting ready for your next strike. And yes the Sealed Sword range is slightly faster then the Troika range.
Jelly sets are pretty much useless because there are so many more different sets of armor that are much better then it i.e Dusker
T2 andT3 are overrun with wolvers with flourish type weapons because they are OP so that
Easy:
Any gear really with piercing defense: Popular is Dusker set because of the dmg bonus. If your a gunner go gunslinger. or go with a brute jelly helm or armour if you find people with twisted snarble barbs annoying:
for weapons go for either:Twisted snarble barb or Swift flourish
second weapon go for a slow sword: Grintovec,Sealed sword
Third weapon or possible second weapon: Shockburst brandish
Fourth weapon possibly a shock bomb depending on your play style :D
Just a note: Quicksilver has slightly better status resists than Brute Jelly
Thanks for the replies. I've figured as much.
People know how to fight the Dusker set, but people would get annoyed fighting a Quicksilver recon that spams bombs and brandish charges, or a Defender is Boosted Platemail with a Kamarin. If you put more diversity into your set you'll be more unpredictable and unpredictability really helps.
Or you could go with Dusker set and Toothpick along with a Pulsar.
My play style involves high defense and capture rates, and low damage output.
Shadowtech alchemer MK I or II: Wolver line does not protect against shadow. However, this is not a weapon to be getting into protracted disagreements with. Get in, spam a couple shots to keep them back, then run for it.
Lightning Capacitor: I rely heavily on this wepaon in my lockdown style. The weapon locks down movement readily enough for Recons to keep away (shock renders cloak benefits void), Guardians to pull up their shield (interesting fact, a shocked guardian does not have enough time to pull up its shield and heal nearby players), and slow down strikers (thus giving your strikers the advantage in combat).
Spine Cone and Twisted Spine Cone: Piercing based damage. Makes it good for quick bursts of damage when you gotta make a run or something.
Sun Shards: Shard spamming is kinda hard to avoid.
Other weapons that help out:
Kilowatt Pulsar: A couple spams can really aggravate and annoy.
Freezing Vaporizer: Wolver line tends to negate the benefits of this line sadly. In any case, if you manage to freeze down and totally render any enemy's movement with this weapon, they are as good as dead.
Magnus Line: Havent used this personally, but it looks like a decent way to spam stun and pierce damage.
My personal loadout?
Shadowtech Alchemer + Lightning Capacitor + Fused Demo Set
Lightning to lock down points and make people purposely start evading you before they take a serious shocking.
Shadowtech to give some versatility in combat when retreating. (Replace as necessary, maybe you'll find other weapons of much better use.)
Fused Demo to make Spamming lightning easier
I always play class recon to max my CTR on Bombs and give my Shadowtech a useful buff. I do intend on eventually replacing that Shadowtech with an Antigua or Pulsar, however.
