Make it so that the number of cursed weapons starts at the number of slots you have at the start. That way, weapon slots will not be the magical solution to resisting curse.... then make curse resistance unlock weapons at a faster rate- 1 weapon per high.
Or maybe unlock them at a percentage
4 weapon slots; high curse resist = 2 weapons usable
3 weapon slots; high curse resist = 2 weapons usable (rounding up)
2 weapon slots; high curse resist = 1 weapons usable
I know what you mean. I have max curse on my helm though, so only 1 out of 2 of my weapons gets cursed by the faust.
But yhea, having multipule slots should not increase your curse ressistance UNLESS you already have curse resisst. Example;
Jimbob has no curse ressist and two total weapon slots. Phantom hits him and both are cursed.
Jimbob buys two more weapon slots, and all four are cursed.
Jimbobs slots run out, so he's back to two slots. But now he has full curse ressistance on one armor peice. He gets cursed and can still usualy use one weapon.
He gets two more slots, back to four, and keeps two of his weapons safe. Still 50%.

Two ways to do the math on how a weapon slot affects curse with the current setup that create a funny math conundrum;
A)
Having one spare weapon slot will give you one useable weapon when cursed.
Having a max curse item will also do this for only two weapon slots.
So 1 slot equals max curse, due to equal quantities left over.
B)
Having two spare slots keeps two out of four weapons safe, equaling a half.
Having max curse keeps one out of two weapons uncursed, equaling one half.
So 2 slots equals max curse ressistance, due to equal precent left over.
Math conundrum. It equals two and one. CANNOT COMPUTE.
