I was going to purchase an Antigua and was wondering wha sword would go best with and if I can get it with out jelly gems a ah. Please tell me why and if it is a good purchase
Antigua
You could purchase an Antigua, complete the heat & use it in T2 PvP. Sealed swords are a bit more useful for PvE though, at least when upgraded to DA/GF. Personally the most use I have had out of Jelly Gem Items is heating them up at 3* an using them in T2 PvP (sealed sword is great for busting up groups on a capture point).
Good to see vets need to ask these questions :P
If you disregard every post above, which means you are not listening to some of the better if not best advice:
Antigua is a piercing gun, get a shadow/elemental sword to go with it.
Getting it on ah wuld be the fastest, if you have the crowns for it. Trading it with jelly gems is the slower way.
It takes 7 JK runs to have enough for an antigua... or you can buy one for 45k cr on auction house. DOn't know about you, but i'd rather do the runs and EARN crowns while getting my antigua than being out 45k for something i could be paid to get.
No point adding that bit if he read the part before I started explaining. But yes, you are right Perronius.
There's just some people who wish to buy every piece of gear, and not dive for it because grinding is the most terrible aspect of any game. Just give them everything.
Antigua goes to Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza. These guns deal split non-normal damage, which makes them not ideal. They don't do much damage, and they're hard to work into an optimized loadout in most of the Clockworks. Argent is okay in FSC, and some people use Sentenza in PvP, I guess. Otherwise, they are not great guns.
The developers are actively considering changing the damage types to pure elemental and pure shadow, respectively. Until that happens, I would not recommend getting an Antigua at all.
