I've been playing for about a week now, I have an Ascended Caliber, Dusker Coat, Wolver Cap, 2* Defender. I'm waiting on finding the dusker cap recipe to upgrade my helm. Now I'm wondering what to spend my first 25 jelly gems on, either a sealed sword or an antigua? I only have the proto starter gun because I have been focusing on getting my other gear up. So would getting an antigua and upgrading it to say argent peacemaker and getting my caliber to leviathan be better first or trying to go for a divine avenger/leviathan combo first?

I read that the Levi is alot
I read that the Levi is alot stronger all around vs the CIV. So I figured if the Divine Avenger does much better then a CIV vs undead then there really isn't need for it. I watched a few of Magnus' videos on YouTube, he seems to be one of the most hardcore players. I noticed he does use the Argent Peacemaker. So it must have its uses end game.
Guess my main thing is, would having an Avenger and Ascended Caliber help me the most in Tier 3 or a Silversix and Ascended Caliber. I'm not sure if I really need a gun, but I heard something about the boss fight in T3 needing one?

Depends on playstyle. You ought to know already if you like to stay back and shoot people. If you do, obviously you want to field a gun - though the silversix may not be the gun you wish to field. The great thing about the Avenger, on the other hand, is that its charge attack has a significant (and apparently quite potent) ranged component - which means that you no longer need a gun to take advantage of ranged opportunities. Given that you're going wolver path with your gear, I'm thinking that means that Avenger is they way to go.

I only use a gun when its needed but I prefer not to. I just wanted to set myself up with a good setup to move along tier 3 and possibly down Vanaduke. I heard he now has certain stages where you can only dmg him with a gun? And that is what made me think maybe getting a Levi/Argent P combo would be better then Levi/DA combo. Eventually I'll build up more weps but I just wanted a good setup for my first 5star set.

Get the antigua! Sealed Swords are for noobs!
The Sealed Sword are for noobs! I say, get a Winmillion instead, for a sword slot. I personally like the Winmillion. But you have to use it correctly! But oh man! You'll be like a boss if you equip the silversix, winmillion, and gravitation bomb!
Who needs 5-Star Weapons! Psshhh! That doesn't add challenge to the game! It makes things a whole lot easier!
Overall, get the antigua!!

Here's your best bet: Buy two
Here's your best bet: Buy two more weapon slots(250 CE each), and get an antigua and two sealed swords. Leviathan Blade, Argent Protector, Divine Avenger, Gran Faust combo.
Oh, and another tip: Ignore everything Matoro says.
Getting a Cold Iron Carver to CIV would be better.
Essentially a Leviathan and an Avenger had a baby.
Most people hate on the Antigua weapons, for good reason but I still like my SilverSix.
