This is not a suggestion, because one should not have to suggest that their game not be laggy.

Let me preface this by saying that my computer/connection is fine, I am capable of playing almost all games all high graphics settings (Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3) and my connection is never below 4 bars. However, this is the only game that I encounter massive amounts of lag. It has only been in the last week in which is has become near unplayable. Anyone one else experiencing this issue? How long has this issue been present in your game experience? (I am not talking about a half second lag, I mean the full blown disconnected/10 second gap of nothingness).

Also, suggestions forums are for users who have suggestions

Who are your Internet Service Providers? Maybe you can ask those connecting from the ISP as you and compare notes with them.

Ah.

Then where are you playing from then? BF and MW3 might have localised servers for most regions. SK only has 2(?) region servers in the US and Europe. (correct me if I'm wrong)

My internet and last night's Jelly King run

I got unlimited broadband from Australia, but my game tends to get laggy after playing a long time on it. Just last night on a Jelly King run, everything went laggy for me that I turned the graphic down to low to make it even slightly better (But a large number of monsters and other effects made everything lag again). Lost large amounts of CE to revive everyone. *sigh*

If you're playing from

If you're playing from Australia you will always get lag due to the sheer distance your data must travel to get to the servers.
If you're lagging because your computer cant handle the amount of effects happening on the screen then turn your resolution to low, disable vertical sync and render effects, change anti-aliasing to 1x, and turn on compatibility mode.
If that fails then open up task manager and end the process Java.exe and then reopen SK. You will be able to keep your progress in the Clockworks but not in PvP.

It could be a memory leak in

It could be a memory leak in Java, especially if you have an older version of Java installed. If you're using Windows, you could try:

Un-installing Java
Deleting the "spiral" directory in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow
Re-installing Java (the latest stable version is Java 6 Update 30, but I use Java 7 Update 2 myself)
Re-downloading Spiral Knights

If that doesn't work, it might be because you have two graphics cards and your computer is using the weaker one for the OpenGL-rendered Spiral Knights. The way to fix this one differs from system to system, so I can't give instructions.

If it's still laggy, you could try what's been posted here: http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/12849

If, even after all that, it's still laggy, you could try updating your graphics card driver. You may be able to run FPSs well, but they most likely don't use OpenGL.
