That old charging bar
Actually, when i saw an old movie about the old gameplay, i saw that you had a chargee bar to show how much you've charged your attack. Actually, i think it's kinda cool, as it not only give you more control about the charge attacks, but also let's you do sme things regarding it, like a status that double the charge bar, the equips could shorten the bar, instead of speeding up it increase, and it could easilly fit around the heat "bar" (don't know what to call it, as it isn't a abr for itself...maybe heat core).
And it could require a lvl 5 or more weapon, for example. My spur could have a higher area of damage, the proto could add a hit...so many options *-* (sorry, just got the spur and proto till now >_<)...Also, it would let us actually do a charged bomb attack (because the bomb already needs charging to attack, so we can consider it to be it normal attack)... i really support the idea, and i'm impressed in not even thinking about it at he first glance.

hey, you put me up at another thread just to kick my stand at this one, that hurts T.T...
But, yes, it have a quite massive area of damage...for a projectile...but, if not is a upgrade in it's area, what could be? double shot would make it quite appelative, improving the damage would be too overpwer or too underpower, if done incorrectly, improving its range...could be, if it can hit further than a normal shot...Actually, it would be relly great if a double charged shot gain the skill to trespass obstacles (let's say, a double charged shot/slice from the spur would pass trhough all blocks and monsters in its range. Probably a good way to open multiple treasure boxes, or a good way to damage those monssters that stay behind breakable stones, with a bomb right at their...low parts...).

I like it how it is now, I don't want to be distracted by a bar when I'm fighting off packs of Gremlins and a Trojan.
The visual cue now is effective enough.
Though not as effective as it could be with weapons that charge near-instantly.

I let off charge attacks before I start glowing.
You just look the bars when you want to see if you're already fully charged. When i saw the ols gameplay video, it really didn't catched my attention at all, at first glance. I saw it the third time i saw the video, and liked the idea. It'sd a discret bar, after all, nothing like a bar that appears in the middle of the screen when it is charging.
I agree with that, it's kinda cool to see a bar that is charging .
there could be a double charge attack (a bar that charges over the already charged one) to do an even more powerful attack
(could be useful before hopping on the switch)
