I'm getting more than a little distressed by the trend of the Color Sets and Blind Packs that OOO is taking with the Accessories and Costumes.
The Color Sets being Dusky, Cool, Divine, Fancy, Volcanic, Prismatic, etc. Certain colors are more rarer and expensive than others. This means we're getting screwed over on color on the same item, having to pay more for a color we want. I can understand paying more for a different item, but color doesn't seem right to me. Other than the new Dragon Wings which do look somewhat different between the colors (I think?), other stuff is just the same thing different colors.
The Blind Packs are selling these Accessories & Costumes along with the CE packs and it being random what color you get. Since it's random and there's different drop percentages, who knows what you're going to get. This feels like those damn collectible card games where you have to keep buying tons of packs hoping to get what you want but just keep getting crappy cards. IMHO, I loath this kind of marketing system....I see it as almost like a scam.
I don't like where this trend is going, and I'm little disgusted by it when I think about it. What do you all think?

"The free market determines the price of the colors", No OOO determines the rarity by drop percentage thereby affecting the cost.
"They've had color sets since locked boxes, why complain now?", because now it's being associated very closely with real money in the Blind Packs which they first started with the Stranger Hats in Explorer Pack. Also these packs are getting more expensive, $3 for the explorer, now $10 for the dragon wings pack.
"How else could they do colors then?", bring it to Bichemal the accessory NPC, choose your desired color during attachment.
"OOO needs to make money to keep this game going!", yes but they can do so more honestly instead of (IMHO) ripping off us off. Let us get what we wanted and paid for, or at least make it all equal drop percentage.
"I don't feel ripped off gambling money on SK and not getting what I wanted", just because you're used to it or don't mind the loss doesn't make it right or it being okay.
"Stop complaining, I don't want to hear anything negative being said about SK!", move along Fan-Boy/Girl.
Imagine this, in a perfect world we all got the accessory we want from our boxes. I'd have my prisma vitakit and would be swillimg in plumes, and every little vog/snarb/skolver/that line on the AH and in haven would be filled with dogs with wings.
That being said. I've endulged into the whole gambling thing, and 50 stranger hats later I got one sniped. but I Wasn't complaining.
OOO does indeed need money to keep going, BUT recently its been asking for too much money. The gap between Regalia Redux and explorer packs was what... months? IMO blame Sega.
