This game is dedicated to Blue-Phaze, who has had the best idea for a Colosseum game yet.

So, if any of you have played Gears of War, you might be familiar with the "Wingman" game in it. I've decided to adapt it to Spiral Knights.

Basically, you have 5 teams of 2, with lockdown classes, tiers, etc. Your wingman and you can not be the same class (to discourage double strikers/ double recon teams dominating, or double guardians being nearly invincible). The 4 teams spawn on 4 different edges of the map, with one team spawning in the middle. The goal is to eliminate the others teams while staying alive.

Buy in: 200 cr per person

Teams formed based on gear level/star (I know this is broken, so if someone has a better way, please share.)

5 rounds, 2 minutes each. If more that one team is alive at the end, they are teleported into the middle of the map, gates pop up around the area, they given half health, and after a 3 second countdown they begin a deathmatch.

REVIVES: If you go down, the players who are attacking you have 5 seconds to kill your teammate before you revive with full health. So keep your teammate alive and at full health, they are your ticket to immortality.

The team alive at the end gets 1 point, everyone else gets none.

The team with the most points at the end of the round gets 500 cr per person, the team with the 2nd most amount of points gets 300 cr per person, and the 3rd place team gets 200 cr per person. If there is a tie in points, the exact same scenario as the deathmatch above happens.
