So I am going all out fire, just wondering, any good armor that helps if you got Fire/guns that I can craft? Also, I am currently 3* just a sword is 4*... Soooo.. Thanks!
Good armor for fire swords/guns?
heh, I was just thinking of doing this earlier today. Currently I have Combuster and Magma Driver. Of course, I'd then need volcanic everything for accessories so I can be a flaming ball of fire :-D To bad I don't have the money for it because I'm saving up for a shadow lair run.
I'm going to suggest full Vog Cub outfit because 1) it looks like it is on fire and 2) it has fire protection you'll need for Fang of Vog. Also, it'll help you in your quest to get the FoV since it is good for firestorm citadel. There really aren't any good firery looking gun outfits (in my opinion), and there is only one fire bomb so you get more benefit from a sword outfit.
Anyways, technically you can use all the weapons against oilers with the exception of the ash of agni, it'll just be a lot slower (like using a piercing sword against slimes or constructs) and more dangerous. I actually one shot oilers with my combuster in FSC quite often, but sometimes it doesn't work and sets them on fire.
Also, bopp left out of the Searing Edge and firecracker if you really want to collect all of the fire weapons (at max crafting levels)
You're saying that you aim to get all fire weapons --- that is, Combuster, Furious Flamberge, Volcanic Pepperbox, Magma Driver, and Ash of Agni? And maybe Fang of Vog? Well, that's an interesting idea. Some comments:
* Of these weapons, the only one that you can use against oilers is Combuster, and you can use only its regular attack. Everything else will set them on fire. Your weapons will work on fire-themed levels, but not quite as well as elsewhere, because your status will be worthless.
* The big attraction of Fang of Vog is its charge attack, which sets you on fire. So you need some serious fire protection on yourself. Other than that, there is no particular armor that helps with these weapons. Insofar as armors give offensive bonuses, these bonuses are not tied to any particular status.
* In general, it is wise to choose weapons that inflict a variety of damage types (i.e., piercing, elemental, shadow). You have a lot of elemental damage in there, and a little piercing if you get Furious Flamberge, and no shadow.
