First Wings Ever Unboxed?

So I was idling in Haven, about to fall asleep, so a lady/man named Mis-Timmy opened a Lockbox. Me thinking it was going to be a maid headband but when I realize the icon was Military, and the right side of the coat was shaded in white (indicating that it was armor back accessory.) Mis-Timmy then says "wings!" As I stand in shock, I realize that I dont think this has ever happened in Spiral Knights, wings coming out of a lockbox. I then think, maybe Timmy will let me buy them, so I shoot Timmy a /t of my offer and here they are, sitting on my Skolver looking nice.

WAS this the first unboxed wings? No proof of this but ask my Skolver Coat and Mis-Timmy for some proof.

Indeed!

I beleive these are the first ever wings unboxed; they are so rare that most people say that they're not obtainable by opening boxes. This prooves them wrong.

I can guarantee that they were unboxed as I wanted to buy then and got caught in this canaundrum :S

Congradulations for buying them ( and for as cheap as 10k ce too)

sometimes it's good to have extremely rare things that only the few, lucky or rich, may have. I find it that the authenticness of these ubber rare item ruined by the featured auctions but meh, you gotta give what the players want, right?

nope.

i am drawing a blank on his name. but there is a knight who opened 200 lockboxes and got heavy wings and prismatic wings. (he sold the heavy wings on AH for 5.5m. they went about 2 hours of being put up).

This was back when there had only been 2 sets of prisms featured in the featured Auctions. his name started with a B

i think his name was something very close to Bakku.
But again, that was back when there were less than 4-5 pairs of wings on the entire game.

I currently am sitting on 250k ce and nearly 9m crowns 8)
I could easily sell a few of my nasty scary triple uv wolver pieces I have hiding for any more ce I would need but I have something in store for them.
