guns.........well u definitely need an elemental gun (alchemer or pulsar) to take care of turrets, and for your 2nd spot, i recommend another gun, a shadow or piercing.

for armor, you get the gunslinger set, which is 3* and is pretty darn expensive for new players(unless you spend real money). If you are wondering which of the 5 star final versions to upgrade to, dont bother think about it now, cause by the time you get to the point where you can upgrade, you will have a good idea of which one you want.

For shield, I recommend getting owlite shield, because most of the ranged attacks (as a gunner you shouldn't go into melee range) are either elemental (examples: gunpuppy bullets, retrode beams, etc) OR shadow (kat bullets, devilite throws, howlitzer bullets, etc), but the only decent shadow shield is the Crest of Almire, which you cant acquire until late into the game, so get it after owlite shield.
