wolver Dens are just too easy. Give wolvers the ability to bury bones as landmines and show the activation zone with a circle on the ground. The bombs are not on a timer, but if a player steps into the activation zone, the bombs goes off inflicting damage on any player in the damage zone.
Give wolvers the ability to bury bones as landmines.
They'd be a lot harder if they still tracked. It's so easy to dodge 'em now. I used to dread wolver dens like "Aw man, I hate Alpha wolvers". Now I see them attack and I'm like..."Ooh, if I sidestep I can't get hurt at all during his next 2 attacks!". lol
Cool idea but...I fail to see how bones will explode? XD
Also, they may get too annoying if the second they planted them they exploded if you were in the range. Either give a very short time to get outside the range or give the attack a fair cooldown.
Just a thought.

Would just be a 'splosion similar to DBB, but smaller and white/brown instead of red/black. The actual explanation can probably just be ignored for this case, explosive bones are cool!
Aye, there'd need to be a short "fuse" that denies it 'splodin' early, but then after that will just sit there and hang around waitin'. Their use would need to be limited though, or it'd wind up like an Arena Bomber fiasco where you're just runnin' away from the bombs; they'd just need to be the odd extra thing that happens about as regularly as the Daddy powerin' up the wolvers; just every 30 secs or so one or two of them gets randomly planted when one burrows and BAM, you've got more to worry about.
Put trackin' back on top of that and we'd all die so hard xD
Yes, let's change Monster Bones to Detonating Bones, Blighted Bones to Bomb Bones, and Reaper Ribs to Repercussion Ribs! :P
Okay..so I couldn't think of an "Explosion" word that started with an M...
Imagine the rage OOO would get. "KIDDING GUIS! Alpha Wolvers now track AND plant bombs. -- Nick".
xD

...i saw a wolver in a corner and it looked like he was trying to dig a hole. Just thought landmines that had a limited time of activation might be a cool idea to make these levels a little more exciting.
Personal Opinion: Wolvers tracking between bites makes much more sense than them not doing so, and they really weren't that bad when they could track. Zombies/Retrodes having a 360 degree punch field got annoying, but Wolver bites weren't hard to avoid at all.
Giving Wolvers the ability to burrow explosives is a neat mechanic idea - maybe it would make Wolver dens less of a cakewalk. Whether you wanted to theme the explosives to be bones, dog toys, whatever - is really more of an aesthetic thing and I wouldn't care what the explosives actually were so long as something broke the monotony of cutting through droves of Wolvers completely unscathed because I happen to have a piercing weapon and know how to occasionally use my shield.
Mount machine guns on their backs too, like, seriously.
Wolver dens are too easy because they got nerfed.
Cool idea though.
