Destroyed grass, got something very unexpected..

I'm on Depth 9 and in some kind of Wolver den.. I proceeded trough the map and halfway trough i chopped up some grass looking for health.. Then i found a GOLDEN coin in one of the grass patches o_O
Anyone else found golden coins in grass before? I've never found one, so i guess it's pretty darn rare.. But it still means i will chop more grass from now on XD

Coins are random everywhere (grass, candles,etc).
If something you break drops a bronze coins, it means it also has a chance to drop a gold one.

I've gotten a Golden Coin via smashing a lamp in an arena. You know those torches by the elevators? Yeah, people were complaining about me running over there to knock the torches down, only for me to get a Gold Coin.

I've seen them a few times.
The only loot-dropping destructibles I'll ever intentionally pass by are the torches by the elevators in arenas.

I cracked open a red box
I cracked open a red box yesterday in the hidden path just before Vanaduke. It gave me a 4* weapon, Volt Driver.

I've been bushwhacking since T2, and have NEVER SEEN a gold coin drop. One did for a party member ONCE (I know cr is shared), but never for me. :(

I use my DBB to clear out all
I use my DBB to clear out all the bushes rather quickly in Wolver Den levels, and I've seen gold coins drop with a reasonable frequency.
Oh, apparently I've been told there's also Wolvers in these levels. I suppose that would explain the level name and the occasional annoying yapping I hear under the continuous roar of my bombs.

I've had gold coins drop from grass often, but if I'm remembering correctly, I think it's happened the most for me in Aurora Isles levels =) I always whack everything though!

I got 4 gold coins in a row in FSC lamps once, I was very surprised. But yeah, it happens, though rarely, especially from the big bushes.

That is because it takes so long for typically 0-1 cr. Yea, 50cr is nice, but for that much time invested it isn't worth it considering your average cr per minute is going to be super low for that task due to how much you get nothing.
I'll totally chop every grass in lichen stages, or jelly farms because they are on the way and easy to do. But I don't walk that far out of my way and slow up the entire party.
It doesn't happen all the time, but I wouldn't say it's rare, either. If it doesn't bother your team, and if you're not rushing to complete the tier, it does pay to stop and smell the flowers (and then chop them into tiny bits).
