Honestly.. the payout for the minerals is really low right now.. I'd want to make it a bit higher. What's everyone else's thoughts on this matter?

The thing is, minerals aren't supposed to be worth much. You find at least one on every stage without fail unless you don't bother to look/stop to pick one up.
So -1.
I have like 200+ of all minerals, so if I sold them all, that's like 2K profit. At the moment.
There are others with THOUSANDS of minerals, so I believe, and raising the cr output would get them to just use all their minerals however just to get loads profit.
Yeah, it's low. But any higher and we could have some problems.

The payout isn't meant to be
The payout isn't meant to be high, it's meant to just be a nice wee bonus to back up what the rest of your run. I have several thousand in minerals right now and could sell them for five digits but if the payout was made any higher that could very easily go up; crown payouts would go from being "a nice wee bonus" into "inflation problems" and they'd need to introduce a new gold sink expressely to counter a gold payout; so it's better to just leave it low and keep it as a quaint bonus that doesnae harm anyone and makes runs ever so slightly more profitable.

I believe they give you minerals so you can (try to) chose what themes you want to play in the future, not as a way to get money.
If anything, i'd remove their value so people grab it for their true purpose instead of trying to profit from them.
But thanks to some people, all we'll see are shock fiends since the random guys that autosell -unintentionally balancing things- will be gone.
Yes, the payout for minerals is low, but raising it would only bring further problems to the economy.
I'm sure the next few comments will explain it better than me.
