Which gun's mechanics make it more suitable for massacring gremlins - especially bombers and menders? I've been having trouble with those in arenas, especially when 12+ bombers are spamming explosives while menders are healing them and protecting themselves in bubbles.
[Gremlins] Sentenza vs. Umbra Driver
Umbra Driver will likely be better for you if you're having problems with them overruning you. Ricocheting is easier against large groups anyways.
Plus Gremlin dodge mechanics make Senteza a very very risky choice to counter gremlins with.
They got hit hard in the latest nerfstorm, now they only dodge every 4 seconds or something.
Naw, gremlins (especially menders) still dodge like ninjas. My girl seems to think that single shots are less likely to make gremlins dodge and that an array of bullets makes them "freak out and jump away", due to the fact that Sentenza fires pretty much as fast as Callahan does, yet Callahan seems to clock hits with fair accuracy, while the mass of bullets from a Sentenza is almost guaranteed to cause jumping and dodging. Reasonable theory, but not sure if there's any other reason for this.
If that's true though, then that'd lead me to believe that fewer shots from the Umbra, even if slower, might have better odds, especially with the ricochet bouncin' around everywhere catchin' anythin' unexpectedly.
Gremlins barely dodge at all now and they are extremely easy to hit with either weapon. I will say that Umbra's bounces make it more effective against packs of Gremlins with Menders, because Sentenza is only a little stronger vs a single target and Menders can outheal your DPS.
Outright killing? On another thread, the new gunslinger guide actually, it was debated. Seems like that assuming no doge and no ricochet, sentennza beats out umbra by a bit in damage. However, the ricochet does happen, and in a arena with 12+ monsters, an umbra will do better if aimed well. However, it might not be the best weapon to pick off menders with, since you will have to be dodging through packs.
Charge an umbra, and wait for an opening for a gremlins. Or just out dps mender's heals to thin out the herd.
